I liked their old ones — before they went with the tape-on-the-back retro look. The orange third with the glowing logo was a bit much, but (before moving to NY), I loved their orange homes and black thirds.
 
I find it sorta hard to believe they'll hit bottom 5 as those bottom 5 teams literally don't try most of the time, but complete lack of offense might be just the ticket.

I feel like sometimes it's easier for a kid to step into an NHL game, even with a weaker team, because at the very least there's more structure and all of the players are good and generally where they're supposed to be. The AHL is a little more scatter brained type hockey with way more mistakes and stuff. Same thing I say when Georgie goes down there and give up a bunch of goals.

Similar to how some guys come up from AAA to MLB and start raking because they actually like the harder and more accurate pitches.

They scored 13 in 3 previous games before tonight and had plenty of chances tonight and should have had 4 but Price was very good. I thought scoring would be abysmal without Zucc and Hayes but now I'm not so sure.

Wasn’t crazy about it. Florida and Buffalo were the only teams whose Rbk jerseys I preferred to previous iterations. I also miss those old Senators jerseys from the early 2000s — the white with the Roman centurion facing sideways, the red with the black stripe, and the black with the gold bands. Those were pretty sweet.

Why do I keep seeing game 6 against the Devils?

Not that it's a bad thing, but why specifically tonight?
 
Those kids falling, entering the ice. (Still laughing) My 1st thought was that they were the Rangers, then realized how short they were....
Was when I came to the realization that they just "had to be" our Rangers sons and daughters.

Similar idea yeah. Of course it has to be a good player doing it, if it’s a plug like O’Gara or something he’s gonna look bad either way, but with a kid like Hajek with good tools and potential sometimes coming up and getting into an NHL game can have them looking better.

I hate to keep bringing up McDonagh because I dont think Hajek will ever be as good as him and don’t want that comparison to exist bc it’s setting him up to be a disappointment even if he turns out to be a good player, but anyway- from a development standpoint it’s a similar situation. When McD first came up the end of 2010-11 season he hadn’t been amazing in the AHL and he came into the NHL and looked very good and started to look better and better and the rest is history.

We could hopefully be looking at a similar development trajectory. Again, I need to reiterate, I don’t mean the quality of the players are comparable. But the same idea of a young guy being mediocre to struggling in the AHL and then coming up to the NHL and looking better than he ever did in the AHL.

I have/had: a Drury, Dubinsky, Stepan, and Gaborik, so I’m right there with you. I was at that 1994 anniversary game and in the second period I decided that if Chytil scored a goal I’d get up and go buy a jersey that instant, no one scored at all so Chytil’s safe for now

Yeah those were sweet. I hate the sens' current. Their O retros are nice

I was fortunate to sit 6 rows behind the net tonight. Not much beats that POV when the action is in front of the cage

Yes - it’s a Friday night, but the building had playoff QF-level energy.

Lemieux will be a really nice role player for when we back in the dance.

And we will be back - next year.
