I wonder if Eller's regression has a lot to do with the Habs playing dump and chase garbage.

His biggest strength is his puck possession skills, too bad that's not necessary in this new, garbage system.

And people complaining about Desharnais' contract... Emelin called and wants some complaints.

Emelin contract made absolutely, absolutely zero sense. He didn't even have a good season last year, blew his knee, hadn't even played 1 game yet and he gets this deal.
Again, the timing of this deal was just weird.

That being said, Emelin has no business playing on the right side. We have one player that is comfortable playing on his off wing and did it for a long time, that's Gorges.
Emelin can't even throw a check on his right side and is constantly lost and out of position. But ya, he needs to play with the other Russian because, well, he's Russian too, duh!

Can't remember the game nor the team the Habs were playing but about 3-4 weeks ago, Markov took a nasty spill and it looked like his knee was toast again. Luckily, it wasn't serious but ever since that play - he has not looked the same, the power play has sucked and Subban's game hasn't been the same without a good power play. I wonder if the knee is bothering Markov or it scared him so much that its affected his game?

They've been told their a grinding team and to dump and chase which results in small forwards unable to recover the puck. Hard to slow it down int he O-zone when you never have it in there.

And these new D pairings are a disaster, Emelin and Markov need to be split up ASAP. Emelin...
