Honest question, did anyone besides myself else get this awful feeling as soon as Dale Weasel scored his penalty shot goal that the Bruins were pretty much finished from there on out.

honestly I knew they were cooked when they went up 1-0 and then gave up a couple of chances in the final minute. I just *knew* they were going to come out and **** the bed in the 2nd. The Weise goal just confirmed it.

They don't have nearly enough skill, and no speed. Grit and tough can't play well enough to survive in this league.

Unfortunately we are not even playing the grit and tough game either. That is what is wrong with their identity. They no longer want to play tough and grind games out. Yet they are not good enough to play a skilled game either. So you get a team that is just going through the motions out there.

Really not missing a bottom pairing dman, a retired goalie, and a guy who will probably never play again due to injury. Yep.

On the other hand, I'm actually missing Boychuk

Obviously but what does that list of misfit toys have in common? #heart

This current roster lacks it. Chia better find some heart for this lifeless club

The veterans on this team are playing like shells of themselves and just like many here, management is too much in love with these guys. It's time to move on from some of them.

You think boychuck solves this? Serious question.

I think trading him a few days before the season started put this team on a downhill spiral. Not to mention we aren't talented enough up front. The d was supposed to be the LEAST of our problems. But funny thing is our d sucked even before Chara & Miller went down because Seids wasn't ready. McQuaid either. And expecting them to come in and BE ready at the jump was a hilarious idea. Cause it was evident from tbd start.

Serious question. Do you think the Boychyk trade has a little to do with how bad our team is?

You can't just throw Chia under the bus. Let's wait a bit. Season is long.

But man hope he knows what he is doing though!

JB isn't replace.
Who said 47 was better than 79?

46 missing is important!

Asking 37 to be a defence and to score goal won't work!

Add grit now! Don't wait! this team is soft -- to soft! After 17, 37 is your most physical player! Nonsense!

I'll wait till tomorrow. Habs win 5-1 is to much! Jeez I hate them! Now I ll have to hear how they are good, beautiful, perfect and all these bul**** everywhere in the province.

Is it too late to rescind Julien's 3 year extension, judging by these 2 " mail them in efforts " looks like not many players are happy about it. Seriously it's time to cut bait with Campbell, Gagne, Erikkson & Fraser up front, replace them with the kids like Cunningham, Koko, Spooner & Florek, they will bring speed and energy to the lineup, Robbins should be in against certain teams too. As for the D, seen enough of Trotman, for a big guy he is way too soft.

Hopefully when this team ends up embarrassing the **** out of themselves this gentlemanly team of veteran intangibles experiment will be over.

Every step we've taken from our old identity has hurt us. This team would never come back from 4-1 when it mattered, never would have pulled it together down 2 games in a series and losing their best forward.

The heart isn't there, the character isn't there, the fire isn't there.

Character? Heart? It's not that which this team lacks. It's actual skill. This roster is a joke. There are literally zero guys on this team that have any skill. They're all second tier grinders.

You know why they play the cycle game? Because not one ****ing guy on this team can actually score a goal using their skating and shot making ability. They are bereft of any skill, and no amount of heart or character is going to right that ship.

We should all blame Rask and call it a night!

:sarcasm:

Im sure no one is blaming Rask for our struggles.
Our #1 d and #1 c is out not to mention #55 and we shoot the puck like 10 yr old girls - not to disrespect 10 yr old girls but.
Cam Neely must be ready to put a gun in his mouth. The B's are the softest team in the hockey world.
I am sure they would be manhandled in the Swiss league.
I have been a B's fan since 1963 and can't recall a team as inept and soft as this one.
I don't usually call out the GM but now we have 4 more years of Claude Juliens terrible system.
When TML and the Habs beat you like a red headed stepchild its time for changes even with all the young guys in the lineup, just please DO NOT get rid of the young guys they look good - its Julien and the old, slow , soft vets who gotta go.

Pretty sad team showed up last 2 nights. This team is not near the team of the last 3 yrs and changes need to be made. Defensively they're not near as good and with the line changes everyone is mixed up. The new NHL doesn't allow any hitting and everyone is scared to line someone up. I hate it, but the Bruins will have to adapt. They're not as fast as MtL nor skilled with the puck - but they have to win the fight along the boards and they didn't show that tonight.

And they might create a goal and get even.

Kelly belongs on line 3-4 + PK and he's an asset in these spots. Not so much creating offense next to Lucic...

Agreed. Kelly is perfect on the third, and could def fill in on the first when need be. The only problem with that is, and this is nothing against Griff but he's not a first liner either. Kelly between Luic and Iggy or Lucic and Horton would be fine for a short time. But between injuries and chia letting the season start with glaring holes we aren't deep enough to keep him there.

I live in Montreal and would rather get their toilet seat of a logo tattooed accross my forehead than attending a game in their ****** areana

I don't watch Bruins games in Montreal. It's not enjoyable at all.

But to be honest, I have only watched a couple Bruins games this year. It just isn't entertaining. I hope they bring in a player worth watching, but I have lost hope in that when the Boychuk trade wasn't to free up space for such a move.

App sends me score updates but these losses weren't at all surprising.

This IS NOT on Julien. Damn it.. the guy role with what he has. Being 5-0 before Toronto was a miracle!

Doesn't matter what the upside is, Claude had already decided before the season that it was a bad idea. For anything to change, it would take divine intervention. Julien cannot help himself.

Unfortunately, Chara or no Chara, Krejci or no Krejci, I don't see this team as a contender anymore. I thought they had another run, but even if the injured guys came back, the Bruins would need at least a couple of major moves to get back to being one of the Top 5 teams in the league.

Time to transition. I don't want to see several years of denial like a Calgary situation. The older players are not able to carry the mail anymore, and the younger guys aren't good enough to pick up the slack. Kelly, Campbell, Paille, Gagne, Lucic cannot score anymore....Griffith + Fraser aren't going to get it done.

The only forwards I'd really want to keep are Bergeron, Krejci, and Marchand. (Smith is decent and still young so maybe him too).

The defense can pretty much stay the same as the younger guys develop....maybe Seids moves on in the future.

Agreed and shifting Kelly back to the Yetiine will make the Yeti line good again. Kelly on the first and Fraser on the third just makes both lines useless.

If you want to play Kelly at C, put him with Paille and Griffith as a 3rd/4th line. With Krejci out, you have to go with a top-2 line that can do something:

Lucic-Yeti-Loui
March-Bergy-Smith
Paille-Kelly-Griffith
Fraser-Campbell-Gagne

Just a hypothetical at this point, as of course this team could still at least make the Playoffs. But hypothetically, if they miss the Playoffs, how much different do you think the team will look next Season?

You know what?

I take it back, CJ shouldn't change up the lines. Because when he does? It's as if he goes out of his way to make it worse.

It's not his system. It's how they're playing it... not winning battles, not playing physical, playing on eggshells b/c every mistake goes in the net.

Same old problems compounded by kids w/ fragile confidence.
