Hockey Canada, CHL settle lawsuit over alleged sexual assault involving World Junior players
After the victim had sex with a player, he left unannounced and came back with his friends. Seven strange men snuck up in the hotel room to have sex with an isolated girl. She repeatedly told them to stop, she cried. They raped her, spat on her, laughed at her, demeaned her, filmed her, bullied her into pretending on camera that she was OK.
Their lawyers are so desperate, they have contacted the media and the best they could do for a PR operation was to present themselves to journalists without identifying their clients and to share videos showing a confused girl being coerced into saying she was "OK" while alone in a closed room with a large group of physically imposing athletes. And then these lawyers shared text messages sent to the victim by a player telling her she would get in trouble if she collaborated with the police. Wow. They really look like amazing guys, don'T they?
That's the best the lawyers could do. Contemplate that, please. They likely have a mountain of evidence and that was the best they could do to try to present their clients in a good light.
There's also the fact Hockey Canada paid the victim to sweep this under the rug. They sure didn't pay millions for fun, I can tell you that.
Imagine you, or someone you love, going through that. Would it be less of a traumatic experience if the agressors are teenagers? What do you think I should call these guys if not scumbags?
Boys being boys?
