we've seen binnington shit the bed against a way less talented sweden. Sure he was a brick wall in OT but it only got there because he was not good through 60, Hellebuyck or Oettinger are both better bets than Binnington

I also think a dcore of Werenski-Slavin-Fox-Faber-Mcavoy-Hanafin/Sanderson is much better than a dcore of Toews-Morrisey-Paryako-Doughty-Sanaheim-Harley?

Forwards are canada having Mcdavid-Crosby-Mackinnon vs Matthews-J Hughes-M Tkachuk as their top end talents, but I don't think that makes up the gap in other places

You just listed like 15 absolutely insane players, that is why i think this will be the best game ever. Who even cares which team is the favourite? Both have so much talent it could go eitherway. One of these players you just listed gets hot and it's something that you can just watch and look at like "wow this dude s insane".

I don't think you NA fans appreaciate these players enough. I watch all games of my hometown team (from where Barkov, Laine, etc. have come to NHL) And let's say the biggest difference is the velocity and accuracy of passes, we now have Andrej Sustr on our team, players said "Yep he is an NHL player because his passes almost break my stick".

I agree that on paper, any advantage at forward that we have, and it’s debatable looking at all 12 forwards, is offset by the discrepancy at D and in net.

Thankfully hockey isn’t played on paper.

Trying to be objective as possible i think this is the first time in history the US national team looks better on paper than Canada. But you have those special difference makers at the top for Canada so it's certainly not in the bag by any means.

Oh yea this game is gonna be a tight and highly entertaining game, maybe only matched by a potential canada vs usa final game.

it's like saying 55/45 USA instead of a pure 50/50. I think Makar makes a huge change here, but in a 1 game contest yea literally anything can happen

looking forward to this game
 
T chunks will do nothing. Canada 4-2 with empty net. Most underrated guy on US is Connor. That guy worries me. Canada is better.
