I have a long held belief that, at this level, it is very hard to beat the same team twice. So I say the loser of tonight goes on to win the Gold!

US are simply better on paper. They have the better roster. Canada has the top 3 scorers in the tournament (Top 5 include Drai and Kuch who aren't here), Makar and an extremely deep roster. They also have a lot of Gold medals and a history of intangibles and winning the big one.

So my bold prediction:

US win 5-2
Everyone agrees Canada sucks and the US have arrived!
They meet in the final
Canada wins 3-2 in OT
Reminds everyone that they are Canada and US don't win Gold Medal games at senior events and Canada does, like, all the time.

Or FInland goes on a run for the ages and wins their next 3 matches for Gold.

How is it outside the peak summer season? Never been there but need to make the journey at some point.

We went to Banff last January and the rules are the same year-round. Only way to get there now is by shuttle bus from Banff. So I guess I can't tell you how busy it is off-season because that's a bit of a show-stopper for me. I mean, it's really just hommage to how beautiful that place is. I guess you have to take the good with the bad.

It's a nightmare drive and tourist hell. I recommend go to Yoho and hike up to Yoho Lake which is gorgeous. Then hike down to Emerald Lake and stop when you see the tourists. Turn around and go back. Yoho is not as insanely busy!

Disagree. If Sweden wins today and Canada loses tonight, Sweden's in control of the 2nd spot big time. Lots of things are going to be decided or at least close to decided today.

agreed it would have been Thomson, Hill and Kuemper on this club if I selected 3 goalies. Sadly we have only Hill of the 3...as stated previously, Binnington is not even the best goalie on the Blues...
