If Canada isn’t the underdog, they should be. The US has far superior goaltending and D. They also have more depth.

Game is in Canada and Hellebuyck is capable of poor play in pressure situations. He has done it several times.

No one in the US is buying what your selling.

Could have sworn I read the rules for situations like this before the tournament began. I don't believe for a second that the NHL would have not laid out plans for contingencies such as this situation.

Seems like the rule was that players would be able to be added to the roster as a replacement if they drop below the 6 healthy D/12 healthy forward threshold, but they made an “emergency exemption due to unforeseen circumstances” to let Harley be readily available without technically being part of the team even though Makar wasn’t ruled out until game time.

personally I think the rules should’ve been set so that he’d be able to replace Theo from the jump but whatever. I don’t care that they were able to add a replacement it’s just a bush league look for them to be changing the rules already
