For offence.. Bouch can replace Makar. But.. you know.lol

Harley has outplayed Heisk this year.. thought that was a brilliant choice.

Doughty was a surprise to me but the man has won it all and I assume they wanted leadership. I imagine he'll be at the Olympics too!
Coaches dont trust him to make the right play. Thats why hes not there.

Any context of what I should be looking at?

My point it reminds me of fans bragging about McDavids 34664643 points, but ignores the loss.
The part where the Tkachuks are at the bottom of the team for expected goals/scoring chances/whatever other non-point stat you want to talk about lol. They were not good tonight. Even on a US team that collectively checked very well they weren't even able to do that, either.

They both fought. That was about it.

Surely there won't be any wild overreaction over this result right? I remember watching the 2010 round robin game and the world coming to an end for a day or two after haha.

Lets see if they can beat the Finns?
I'm taking my winning tonight and putting it on Canada. All hockey gods obvious whats gonna happen is that we should lose; but that's what just they think I'll do!

Canada needs different lines out there. Mack McDavid aint it. Also their blueline doesn't have any big threats out there.
yes, not sure why they don't just go with the C strength and fill in the blanks...:

-McDavid-
-Mackinnon-
-Crosby-
-Cirrelli/Bennett-

Reinhart-McDavid-Konecny
Hagel-Mackinnon-Point
Marchand-Crosby-Stone
Marner-Cirrelli/Bennett-Jarvis

I mean Drew is geriatric, rusty as f***, clearly can barely move out there, and I've been as vocal about his clearly forced comeback just to make these games as anyone...but...

He wasn't the player he can be that's for sure, but he got an assist, 2nd most minutes amongst canadian dmen, and played well with an excellent-but-straight-off-the-boat Harley. Acquitted himself well for a pretty tall order.

Canadas role players tilted the ice big time today. Binnington was good. Cirelli line best analytical line in the game, and matched the eye test imo.

To me, this team needs MacKinnon to be the guy, and he ain’t doing it. You think you’re the best? That’s a laugh

If nothing else Doughty was maybe the only D who made an outlet pass tonight.

Exactly my point! They won the game 3 seconds in! You have no idea the impact that had on the team. Meanwhile youre obsessing about points.

I get that the easiest thing to think is that Canada didn't play their game, we all do it when our team loses. But how about taking the 1,000 yard approach and realize that the US played their game? They played it perfectly. And they are not scrubs, many thought the US had the talent here. Just top your cap and move on. The US won, there wasn't any egregious plays on Canada's side to pick out and blame. Such is life.
