I mean, it's cool that people in the US that historically ignore hockey suddenly seem to care, but also sort of weird to act like they've discovered something new that they need to tell the world about.

They didn't score but they played hard. And Matthew got injured. They did what was neceesary.

Sucks to be a Canadian hockey fan atm. We are at our lowest point since 1998.

2006 was worse, but I digress... the Canadian coaches still have are least one more game to learn their lessons. And then hopefully another.

Hockey Canada management has a year to learn their lessons in picking the best roster. You want to give the coaches multiple weapons and not handcuff them with guys who can't handle the increased pace of play.

We were in the middle of our 5 WJC gold medal streak in '06 though. And more importantly, the USA rarely defeated Canada in the mid 2000's. Unlike now.

Goaltending is suspect. Nothing you can do about that. They just need to make some adjustments. Against USA they need to play more North South hockey. They lost by one goal with the US playing the trap in the third. It’s not like they got smoked.

No biggie and no reason to panic.

You knowIt's hard to say goaltending cost Canada the game when Binner only let in 2 himself, the empty netter was exactly that an empty net.

The problem is when you let in that 1st goal you can say it and it's true because a save there and the game is in OT.

I think about going to Hill.

As I said before the game we did not escape the game without injury.

Matthew Tkachuk couldn't finish the game.

For him to pull himself from a game I'll be interested to see what it is because he doesn't pull himself from games.

Its too bad all 3 of our best goalies this season are left at home (Thompson, Blackwood, Kuemper)

Sweden is already out of the tournament so I doubt they will care about the game on Monday.

No they're not. If Sweden wins in regulation Monday and Canada wins in overtime the Swedes go to the finals.
