Gotta hand it to Team USA. Their defense was pretty damn great. Only got beat by a great individual play by McDavid, but otherwise they really shutdown Canada and gave them so little space to operate. Almost every single time Canada was moving forward there was a bunch of US players standing in their way and checking them hard along the boards and then Helly was there to make the save when needed on the few chances that Canada had.

Lets hope we can get a rematch because this game was too good to not have one.

Congratulations to USA on that one, defence and depth players were very impressive. Helle is very steady, and that is exactly what you want in a goaltender. I liked Canada's defence too, but the strategy of give McDavid and MacKinnon the puck and hope for the best is not good enough. Probably Crosby's worst ever international game too. Hopefully Tkachuk is not done for the tournament.

Started off great but transitioned into typical close checking NHL game. Inserting Wilson and Makar changes this game entirely. Marchand is past his prime, Konecny is better currently.

At some point, these coaches will appreciate Wyatt Johnston and Dylan Guenther, don't care that they're young.

MacKinnon was bad and has been bad in both games, to be quite honest. Having said that, all McDavid did tonight outside of scoring that one goal was turn the puck over. He also hasn't been great either.

Both play an individual game, doesn’t work when playing best on best!

Hate to say this as a Canucks fan but they really need Makar to do Makar things or this team is toast.

To tell you the Truth, that's how they lost. They relied on putting eggs in 1 or 2 baskets and didn't try as a team.
