And exactly what is that supposed to mean? The Sens are ranked higher than the Flyers on most, if not all, website power rankings, yet they lost last night. Rankings mean ****. It's what happens on the ice that counts. Results mean everything, rankings mean nothing.
I am Canadian through and through, but until they have that gold medal around there necks, they have as much chance as anybody to win it all.

How much respect do russians deserve? they haven't won anything in ages. They're hockey federation is a joke; there's no pride in playing for their country with a lot of players opting out. They just got spanked by Canada. They got spanked by canada in the Challenge Series...

What has russia done to get respect? Except have a russian hockey fan complain that tsn won't show some no name coaches name. They would probably be offended if his name wasn't shown in russian. Russians will use any excuse to be upset...

I think you're foolish to write off the Russians, especially at the WJs. I still think they would be favoured in a gold medal game. It wasn't long ago that a Russian victory over the Canadians in the gold medal game was a holiday tradition.

Really, an exhibition loss without the best player in the world not in the NHL is nothing to get excited about.

The team with the best player often wins and Malkin will be the best player in the Tourne and the Russian will be in the mix if not the champs when the dust settles..
