They didn't change goalie after that atrocious 0 degree angle goal so he's staying in net for the rest of the tournament.

I thought even before that. When Canada got 4-2 goal it was time to change in my opinion.

Halttunen will go quite high in 2023.
One thing with Halttunen is that his stickhandling looks pretty ineffective. But I have a 4 game sample for that.

Still, looking forward to him in Liiga next season.

I think that Sweden is the weakest of the possible opponents in USA, CZE and SWE, so I gladly take Sweden next and I think that Finland is fired up after this win and after that 4-3 loss to Sweden.

What an embarassing performance from this team. Absolutely attrocious since the very first second of the tournament

Where is he playing? Moving to Hifk?

Today wasn’t his best showing in that regard, but having seen him at the U17s earlier and this tournament, I think he is actually a pretty good stickhandler in tight.

38.8% for dead last on PK.

US is at 91
Latvia at 77
Fin at 70 with Czechs
Swiss at 61
Germany at 61
Sweden at 55
Canada at 38 according to TSN

That HAS to be coaching IMO

True and big ice. Maybe Canadians don't coach so well for big ice game / euro sized rink and Canadians are slightly better if they would play in North-American sized rink.

Those are some terrible PK%s throughout. Only USA's is good, the rest are what should be below average. Latvia just barely passable, rest are no no. I guess it's an offense first tournament.

Hope so. All in all with his size and skill, physicality, shot and such he could be comparable to Laine but we'll have to see how he does in Liiga.

I could see big ice causing a problem but more like instead of an 80% PK they would be at 70%. My hunch says Baumgartner never coaches a national team again. I think this happened to Carboneau (or a similar type legend) at this tourney a decade ago?

shocking that Canada couldn't PK or defend with Baumer as coach.....sincerely Canuck fan

Finnish studio team is confused and saying USA-FIN next, which doesn't seem to be true.

"In the semi-finals the best-ranked team - criteria: 1) placement in the group, 2) points in the preliminary round, 3) goal difference in the preliminary round, 4) goals scored in the preliminary round, 5) seeding coming into the tournament - will play against the lowest-ranked semi-finalist. The 2nd-best ranked semi-finalist will play the 3rd-best ranked semi-finalist. The host if qualified, or otherwise the best-ranked semi-finalist according to beforementioned criteria, shall play the early game. The time slots will officially be determined after the quarter-final games."

We want personality and fun in hockey.....players shows personality and has fun....not that kind of fun and personality stop it!!

Well, yes exactly. Have fun, have personality, don´t be an unsportsman like punk. Simple. LOVE that hes team lost, actually guessed that would backfire. LOVE it. Kemell>>>betard

My understanding is same as yours.. your win fed the Czechs to the US.lol

I think he might be too young for Liiga yet. Besides, I think Jokerit want him to be on their return team in 23-24 season.

Kemell is a beauty. This team with this coaching, goaltender and lack of talent on the team making it into semis.. It's a good result already.

I'm feeling that Finland beats Sweden but loses in the final to either USA or CZE. Those are the 2 best teams in my opinion.
