To be fair they were the best line in the US game analytically. And you forget Hagel is top 10 in the league in goals without playing on the first powerplay unit (or with Kucherov). View attachment 978482

Well, I have a lot of respect for Kucherov as a difference maker.

I think they are good complementary guys but I’m not expecting an inspiring goal from them.

I don’t think I’m being too harsh given the company they are keeping out there on the US and Canada teams.

there is really no excuse for Cirelli to be anywhere near this team. There’s so many players that can kill penalties that are way more of a danger to score
20 goals, +18 on the year, he and Hagel are outscoring opponents at 4 on 5? I get why people want Hyman but Hyman can't kill penalties as well and has fewer goals and points. Scheifele doesn't hold a candle defensively but Cirelli is no match on offense, to be fair.

After what the US and Canada have done to Finland, does the NHL continue to invite Finland to these? They are the most un-competitive nation I have ever seen my god.

Can’t help but remember Point used to smoke cigarettes at 15. Like it’s not some earth shattering thing but as an aspiring athlete you would think cigarettes are the last thing you’d do haha

This shit is over.

Hope USA stays healthy during their meaningless game so that Canada get their do-over, except this time the game actually matters.

This tournament format is stupid.

There's nobody Hagel is complementing though. He plays with Cirelli and Geekie. He has barely played with Kucherov this year. But I get where you're coming from.

One thing I like about the roster size is you cannot bench like half the team. US sort of forced to have to play and make an effort tonight, would be a bad setup I think if they were able to just rest everyone and then be not as sharp in the title game

Still think Cirelli is too far up the lineup, Stone is useless with two speedsters and Crosby is being underutilized by not leading his own line.

But can't complain with these results, so good job Cooper.
Nah, Stone is good because he's so good at creating turnovers and starting transitions. McDavid can really take advantage of that. You don't need 3 players racing up the ice all at top speed anyway.

Canada making the finals is a 'do over'? I guess in your world the US should have won the tournament after a two game round robin. Keep crying.

He’s a good player and I’d love him on the Habs but he has absolutely no buisness being here for a best on best. Suzuki amongst the names you mentioned would br way better choices
