The tournament organizers are dumb for not scheduling the third games at the same time. Now Sweden/USA will be a exhibition game.

In Soccer the last group game is always the same time to not influence the results of other games.

Probably will do that in the future I think but you'll have to have more travel obviously

It happens that way sometimes. It was disjointed and chippy for most of the first.... and that's the kind of game where Finland usually succeeds. McDavid and MacKinnon being clinical changed things.

Finland is always going to be in every major tournament. They are the #3 ranked team in the world, punching well above their weight class regularly. I think they may have the weakest roster due to injuries, but ignore the haters, they deserve to be here.

Finland always punches above their weight internationally. Counting them out in any scenario is silly. The Finns are also at a disadvantage by not being able to use players form Euro leagues, who may be better than some of their low tier NHLers. Finland's fight and never say die attitude is why they're always my second team (after Canada) internationally. This game may be over but the Finns aren't a team anyone should be sleeping on come 2026.

Logistically it would have complicated things since there are only two cities and Boston got today/Thursday while Montreal had the first two for each team.

I didn’t like the Cirelli pick, though didn’t hate it at the time, but the benefit of someone like Suzuki or Thomas is they could move up if someone like Crosby is off

The 'Finland doesn't belong' messages are just from bitter Swedes

They play a very different game from the juggernaut Canadian teams of the 2010's.

A lot more speed, they rely a lot more on their transactional speed and rush chances as opposed to the heavy cycle game of the past.

This Canadian team plays more like a Russian team from the 00's than the 2014 Canadian team.

Canada doesnt have the players to play the way it did then even if it wanted to. Canada was huge in 2010 (and 2004) and in 2014 just had a massive talent edge over every other team and decided to still play how underdogs play. It's different now, the Canadian defencemen aren't as good and the best forwards kill with speed.

just people overreacting to small sample sizes. This team could absolutely upset.

Theres a reason Canadian fans were so upset losing to the states, its because this game is not free
