Pavel Buchnevich
"Pavel Buchnevich The Fake"
Who's best comparable for Cozens?
Halfway between Jeff Carter and Mika Zibanejad.
Who's best comparable for Cozens?
IIRC, yes.Did we even play Finland in 05?
This Canadian team will do that. This is a stack team
I think Rangers didn't want to send Laf for that reason. Can you imagine him on this team?
Close. If you think that game was any where's close,,,,,Refs didn't like how close Fins came.
Love the socks, at first all I saw was Petro Canada but F it, the Maple Leaf is unique let’s use it in our design more. Better than 2 lines.

I’m not a fan of the socks myself.
Same reason that the Leafs didn't send Robertson, Devils didn't send Hughes, and the Rangers didn't send Kakko. The guy who claims to have made the decision is Canadian. If Lafreniere had played at this tournament, he'd have missed training camp, and probably the start of the season, as well.
He would have gotten in great game shape in playing this tournament and why would he had miss the start of the season?Same reason that the Leafs didn't send Robertson, Devils didn't send Hughes, and the Rangers didn't send Kakko. I could see Mercer being a Blake Coleman type some day. The puck is always in the offensive zone when he's on the ice, he just grinds and grinds.
Holloway reminds me of Darren Helm. Great speed and energy, good pk skills, but lacking in the offense department. I think he will be a good bottom 6 player in the NHL, which is probably a slight disappointment considering where he was drafted.
Boy, do I ever miss the Canada/USA NYE games. Remember that tradition, It went on for several years. They were always mammoth battles. White knuckle, edge of your seat drama. This friggin snore fest was a huge letdown.

Not Petro Canada socks, but a homage to 1972 Summit Series. And I love them too...

So you don't think he'll ever hit 35 points? I think you are underselling Holloway. Helm also relies a lot more on speed. I don't think Holloway is ultra-skilled, but I think he has more offense in his game than Helm.
Ya, I see it too, and yes we have tons of Petro Can stations here too.Great post. You're obviously correct but as a Westerner, I too see Petro-Canada gas stations when I look at that. It doesn't mean I hate the design, but yeah, it's an instant connection. It always was for me anyway.
No it actually is a very bad Team Finland i've been saying it ever since the start go read Team Finland roster thread.
Just told everyone I'm watching with (non hardcore hockey fans) that Lambert was born in 2004. Now they're all mad at me for making them feel old
Were actually agreeing on something you and iAs a neutral, I agree. Don't like this Finnish team. Offense is watered down from what it could be (Kakko, Puistola, Raty, Tuomaala), the defense doesn't have any real high end defensemen aside from Heinola, and the goalies are simply not up to the standard of goalies like Askarov, Knight, Alnefelt, Wallstedt, Wolf, Parik, even probably Levi.

His goalie coach is probably the next big coach out of the area, you will see Quebec start to churn out the goalies again.
He would have gotten in great game shape in playing this tournament and why would he had miss the start of the season?
Would he had have to quarantine for 14 days before being able to play in the league?
Were actually agreeing on something you and iGuess you can't always have contender teams concistently with a country this small. But it's very questionable decision making leaving out good quick footed skaters whom are needed in tournaments like this.
I see Canada fans are getting carried away after their team demolished lesser hockey nations. A rude awakening awaits them.
