They're 18 and 19 year olds and they just finidhed playing one of the best, if not the best, games of the tournament. Give them a break for acting lke the kids they are.

Except where I was I was in amongst 50-60 year olds as well as kids and grandkids kids that were 12-20. What I’m saying is that they have a strong commitment to their country and they train it into them young. It’s impressive. I feel sad when I’m with my own citizens/patriots and they are chuckling and spitting on the ice and generally goofing off when their national anthem is being played because they represented their country and did something special.

Spent some time down south of the 48th the past few years. Every body at a game live or even watching from home stand totem pole tall and sing the anthem when it’s on, no talking, looking straight ahead and hand over heart. I watch today’s win and they boys are chatting and laughing during the anthem. Seems disrespectful. Not impressed.

In WJC tradition Canada usually doesn't sing the anthem or anything until after the gold medal game. Their behaviour was not particularly strange.

Overall a good game for Canada. A bit lacklustre to start the third but credit to Finland for that part of the game as well. If Canada can maintain the forecheck from the first two periods then that should bode very well, though there are still some question marks. Hopefully Newhook is going to be good to go.

Boy, do I ever miss the Canada/USA NYE games. Remember that tradition, It went on for several years. They were always mammoth battles. White knuckle, edge of your seat drama. This friggin snore fest was a huge letdown.

I am trying to think of the last time Canada so utterly dominated a Finnish team. I am thinking it may have been 95 but maybe someone has a different recollection. Odd seeing a Finn team try and play a 1 on 1 game or a stop up short game ...turnovers everywhere. Not the Finland we are used to.

I'm sorry, but whats with so many Finns/Europeans always accusing Canada of diving/cheap shotting/have reffs on their side? I've literally watched games where Canada won despite having more PIMs and no signs of diving and they STILL make these accusations

40 minutes absolute bullshit hockey from Finland.
Last 20 minutes something else.

Lambert's powerplay goal was nice but only a plaster for Finland's atrocious game.
If these U20 WJC's performances should be a measuring-stick for coaches career
then Pennanen doesn't look next Finnish men's national team head coach in my eyes.

And can we bench Järventie from next game
that bust hasn't done absolutely nothing in this tournament.

Finland had before the start of the game a chance to get Czech Republic in quarterfinal
but some reason our guys weren't interested of that so Canada decided use that chance.

These neutered p***ycats ( Finland ) got what they deserved.

Yeah. Beat them 8-1 in the group stage in 05. Then in 06 played the Finns twice, 5-1 in the groups and 5-0 in the Semi's.
