I get it. But, Czechia is in tears after “winning” silver. USA was hyped when they won Bronze. It just shouldn’t be that way I think. I’d like a silver medal match in all honesty.I don't think that is the case.
no one looks at the US above Czechia.
Silver > Bronze.
You win bronze you lose silver.Sucks that Czechia and all “winners” of the silver medal don’t actually win it. They just lose in the gold medal match. It’s just so bizarre to me that the bronze medal winners will always be more hyped than the silver medal winners because of the structure of the tournament.
You mean the olympic tournaments where we had nhl leftovers playing from Europe? Can't win men's tournaments tho
London pleaseFull marks to Moncton and Halifax for pulling this together in relatively short order. I know the hint of bigger crowds likely draws this into major Canadian markets again, but it's the junior cities where this tournament shines when it is in North America.
46 official times the wjc has been played. Canada played in 30 of the gold medal games (winning 20) Canada has won a few. LOL!Congrats to Canada finally winning one without taking away goals from the other team.
Watched so many of these WJC, and yet each time I get surprised once again looking at these kids, so young, who provide such great dedication and entertainment. It gets me every time when I see their emotions on display especially at the final handshake line.
they were in tears because they 'almost' won the championship.I get it. But, Czechia is in tears after “winning” silver. USA was hyped when they won Bronze. It just shouldn’t be that way I think. I’d like a silver medal match in all honesty.
Eh, the big hockey tournaments I played always felt better winning third place medals than losing for second.I guess.
I don't think so.
Playing in the real game, and losing, is better than winning the consolation game. At least it always felt like that when I was young.

We'll see when our center line will be Crosby Mackinnon Bedard and Mcdavid.
Instead of ahlers.
I'm not sure how you would do that unless you had that match after the Gold Medal match...which doesn't seem ideal. It sucks losing and getting silver but you end up appreciating them down the line.I get it. But, Czechia is in tears after “winning” silver. USA was hyped when they won Bronze. Eduard Sale is going to be great player
Your posts are usually terrible, but this one is...Does it make you 6-2 your stomach?
I'm guessing you played when participation awards became popular?Eh, the big hockey tournaments I played always felt better winning third place medals than losing for second.
I mean, you can see it in the players faces alone. Tears for silver, cheers for bronze
With that said, I’m sure in a week or so you get over it and would prefer silver
there is something very Canadian about “Conor Bedard moving in”
It’s just Canada encapsulated in a single phrase. Isn’t it funny how these things work? It’s like just saying Conor Bedard moving in as he skates the puck in is just like encompassing of Canada.
Can’t wait to see this dude in the olympics. He reminds me of Marner a little bit in style (I’m not saying he’s going to be better or worse just what he reminds me of)
We will pull a Prince and change our name to a symbol.lolby the time you learn it, they'll change it again

Trust me, no one ever valued their bronze over a silver.
At least not when we all competed to win.
amazing. We will pull a Prince and change our name to a symbol.lol
Lol...you Shane fanboy!!!!lol bedard fanboys think he can backhand like that or has the raw power of shane
