Does any other country outside of Canada and TSN care so much about this tournament or hype it up so much?

I'm happy Canada won and it's good to be a global villain. But it reminds me of the old Canada Cup, except it's the Junior Canada Cup now. With no Russia, it really doesn't feel the same.

Canada needs to address a few things going forward that's for sure.

Glad to see Canada win Back to Back Gold Medals for the first time since 2009. Cannot believe it has been 14 years since we accomplished that feat. Congrats to the Czechs for your Silver Medal, and for getting a Medal after two decades. You should be proud of your team and the way they played.

It shouldn't be held in big cities like Toronto and Montreal. Or in NHL arenas. This was perfect. They should do this more often than in the bigger cities and bigger arenas.

Sucks that Czechia and all “winners” of the silver medal don’t actually win it. They just lose in the gold medal match. It’s just so bizarre to me that the bronze medal winners will always be more hyped than the silver medal winners because of the structure of the tournament.

Everytime the thing is in Canada it should be Halifax/Moncton, Kitchener/London, Saskatoon/Regina, Lethbridge/Medicine Hat, Kelowna/Kamloops, etc, etc. Junior rinks for a junior tournament
