GDT: Canada v Germany (Gold Medal Game)

Someone wrote that forums (not just this one) are dying. Looks like it.
Probably because younger generations aren't able to hold a longer conversation due to the fact that it requires some patience. They're used to instant replies of tiktok, twitter, whatsapp. Fan influence over teams, clubs will wither along with death of discussion forums.

People don’t care about this tournament, also the discussion style forum is a dying breed. Everyone uses Reddit now
Probably more of the latter than the former. The "nobody cares about the whc" have been about the same the past decade.

Hfboards in general seems way less active today than just five years ago. At least the breadth, the top threads still draws crowds but anything else is quiet.

On topic Germany has really impressed me this tournament. Gold to Germany and Bronze for Latvia is probably the best outcome ice hockey as a whole could possibly wish for!

I'm an OLD man so this type of format / pace works for me. :)

This game and a finals appearance is not being promoted in Germany?
Football dwarfs every other sport in Germany, always has and always will be that way.
If I had to guess I'd say this game shown on a niche sports channel in Germany will draw 1,5m viewers at most (GER population is 84m+), no promotion in the world is able to change this by a relevant margin.
