As a Finnish hockey fan, this is the least sour silver medal I can remember. Sure it would have been great with back to back golds, but the 2019 gold medal felt extra good with all the great rosters they beat. This time Team Canada was actually the ones on a Cinderella run. Again congrats for a well fought victory.

Considering that he was tied for the most goals scored in this tournament, I don't think it is. Pretty spectacular, really.

Not sure that a Kazakh player would have been included with that merit though.

I agree, dissapointed, but I won't dwell on it too long unlike 2014

As a Finnish fan I do think there were penalties in that overtime but my feeling is the refs would not have called much either way. They wanted it decided 3 on 3.

It was a close game between 2 very even teams. Both matches ended 2 2 and one each. Doesn't get closer than that.

Canada showed a lot of heart to come back from that awful start and come back for gold.

Finland are now a legit contender for every tournament at every level. We are in such a good place but wasn't to be this time.

In a tournament almost totally devoid of star power, Canada's Z team comes through. It helps to be the deepest country in hockey talent. The best team won.

Don't feel bad for too long, Finland played a great game today despite being big underdogs and had an excellent tournament. Finland has done very well internationally lately and that will only continue into the future.
Canada had the strongest roster and your team kept it to 1 goal in an overtime where it was extremely even.

I am so proud of the team Finland we saw. I mean Jukka Jalonen won the 2019 championship with like worst team ever, and now they had even worse team and were just one stupid tripping penalty away for winning an another.

Jukka Jalonen is a real magician. Absolutely amazing coach. And it was only less than 20 years ago that I did hate the guy. It's awesome how much he has been matured as a person and as a coach.

From pure talent point of view this was like Team C or maybe actually D, and unlike Canada we don't have that much quality players. Still they got so close.

He was obvious troll, but since maybe 1 player (maybe, to lowest pairing or as extra D) would make the olympic team, there is no best line in KHL which is all 3 finns line, no players Finnish elite league Finalist teams due to timing of tournament.. Id say this is hardly D team.
