In CPL news. Forge take their terrible end of season form in to game one of the playoffs and lose. Due to the double elimination format, they play host to Atletico on Saturday, with the winner heading to Spruce Meadows to play Cavalry in the CPL finals the following week.

The York v Ottawa game had an incredible ending, with another goal from 16 year old Sholah Jimoh.

Watching Minnesota tonight.. Tani comes off the bench and is the recipient of a terrific pass. He showed zero confidence in his finish and it was saved.

Tani looks like a player but he has yet to really show a nose for goal. We badly need other forwards to break through and if Tani is in the next window it is only because others aren't taking their chances elsewhere.

Further update. Minnesota win game 1 on pens. St Clair had a huge game making many key saves from open play.

Tani did hit his pen well.

Terrible time of year to do it.

I don't care about winning the regular season trophy... Give me a win on the last game of the season...

Hopefully they figure it out on Saturday.
Really sucks for me as I was hoping to make a weekend out of the championship on the 9th, hang out in Hamilton on the Sunday and head to Buffalo for the game against the Habs. This week is far too short notice to get up there.

Honestly think losing Poku is what sunk us.

A squad announcement for next window cannot be too far away. Do you regulars feel Hoilett is done with the national team?

I think if he was ever going to be recalled, it would be now... we desperately need someone that can play the left side and create or offer a shooting threat against a low block.

Perhaps it is my loyalty blinding me and maybe some of these vets are done.

Corbeanu must have done something to get blacklisted.. He's right sides . where we have depth but you would think at his age, his playing time (gets starts and bench appearances) with Granada, that he would at least be discussed.

Few notes from Europe today.

Charles Brym scored a pair for Sparta in the Dutch Cup.

Brault Guillard has got off the bench at Lugano and is starting regularly at right back for a team in 3rd, 2 points out of first.

Choiniere went 90 for Grasshopper, they are in 11th in the 12 team league.

I'm really confused on the Corbeanu part. He never blew my socks off while with the national team, but with his profile and age, it makes so much sense to get him back with the team and see whats there. It. makes even less sense when you think about the coaching change. Would Marsch not want to see what he has in the player?

On the Hoilett front. He is still a useful creative player in a limited roll. I think he gets involved with the team when we have a couple injuries and need another versatile player. With Millar out we may see him again.
