Looking at the roster, its an actual mix.

Those "exclusive" types tend to be the older players. The younger ones increasingly come from the island.

Lame uninspiring football. Guatamala is a terrible side; they cheaply turned the ball over so many times in their own half and pretty much gave Canada chances to bring the ball into the box...Yet Canada is the side that got outplayed in that half.

We don't look very inspiring at the moment. The final third play is extremely poor.

We need some kind of creative spark to hopefully get is over the line here.

I'm willing to put part of that on the insane heat and the pro-Guatemala crowd. But you are right, we are far off the mark.

In other news Lazar Stefanovic made his debut at 16 today for TFC.

That starting 11 was atrocious in their execution. Gross even.

The subs have brought a ton of pace and are making some plays.

Still shows our lack of depth overall, but certainly not complaining about the effort.

Felt like a trip to the early 2010s when this nation absolutely sucked.

It was obvious they were never going to score today. Never were a threat and had no clue what to do in the other half. Hopeless long balls down the sides with crosses to no one in particular in the box. Still unable to defend against set pieces and CBs caught napping many times.

Guatamala really were the better side by a mile. Fortunately they lacked the quality to score.

No depth or quality (aside from Ahmed). Goofy manager who employs the same tactics game after game...and many other managers are catching on. Books out on how to play against Canada.

This team looks completely toothless without it's top players.

Lack of national team squad depth being badly exposed.

Although Herdman's use of the squad and his choice of formations/tactics have me scratching my head at times.

Cavallini is completely washed. Hopefully one of the younger players starts in his place.

Was a subpar option with the Vancouver Whitecaps. Cannot win a race, cannot anticipate crosses or passes, cannot finesse through players, cannot finish grade A chances. Really regressed after hitting his mid 20s.

He reminds me of a really drunk guy in a crowded bar... clumsily stumbles into people and gets some dirty looks. Very little chance of scoring.
