Yeah, and you have the commentators painting this as a warm-up game before France.

Completely disrespecting the opponent on the pitch.

It's an 8th ranked team vs a 28th ranked team. Not much of a gap in football.
People talk about this Canadian team like its a foregone conclusion they will do damage at this tournament... It's like we are forgetting they got grouped at the last WC.

There's so much undeserved swagger surrounding Canadian soccer that it makes my head spin sometimes.

The whole vibe changed with Sinclair's departure.

Gone is the hard-working blue collar ethic with humble roots. They have now adopted the early 2010's USWNT's level of arrogance with 1/2 the skill and talent.

Well, it applies to the men's team as well.

I think the players are starting to believe what TSN is telling them.

Our media has gotten to WJC levels of hyperbole and national jingoism.

Meanwhile New Zealand is turning it over with almost 50% of their passes and clearances.

There is zero form or structure to capitalize off NZ's turnovers. The opportunity is there to open up New Zealand on the counter with 2-3 passes, but there's far too many players wandering out of position. There's pretty much zero players really playing midfield. This is elementary level stuff.

Canada doesn't have a lot of creativity going on and New Zealand can barely maintain possession. They'll have to figure out some way to break them down.

That's always been our biggest issue too....

Need to make some changes at half.

What is a "mah-estro"....

It's like this co-worker of mine who always uses the Hispanic pronunciation for everything.

"I'm going to Cohhhhsta Rrrreeeka this winter."

Just say Costa Rica. There are no Costa Ricans around.
