Sure Czechs caught a break on their goal...But Canada wants to chip and chase and they can't win possession down low, much less get any sustained cycling going...Czechs game plan is working thus far...

Czechs look very motivated, you can tell.. I'm already happy that we have scored a goal in this match (even though it was with a help of our Slovak friend :D).
Let's keep it close..

Canada has had no chemistry at even strength all tournament long, must be a system issue at this point, they can't even complete passes in the neutral zone.

I hope Canada wins. I dont know if I can sit here and read all the excuses.

I think you're reading a different thread right now.

Every Canadian fan is embarassed with the way our team is playing.

Booing our guys, how ****ing pathetic from the MTL crowd. Team looks like a soft Euro style team.

Heads should roll at Hockey Canada. I remember last year Jankowski talking about us assembling a more European style team like it was a good thing. That smug smirk I'll never forget.

Wake the **** up.

We'll see if CAN can play the type of game its going to take to win this game. Get the puck deep and grind it out.

Team Canada playing like crap all over the ice. Fluke goal but the Czechs were in position to take advantage where Canada has not. None of their shots have been particularly threatening and they aren't getting close to the net.

Need to start showing some jam.

Team selection is not the problem. Lack of available talent in the first place is.

That's a tough argument to make when you look at the draft pedigree of some of these guys, though the bigger picture may be that D. Strome and Dubois may not actually be great third overall picks for example.

What, last year? Honestly not an upset.

They are missing top players, and overall it's a weak year . Plus a couple games they were unlucky

Not as big of an upset

No, the way Finland failed/fails this year is an upset. They were champs and were already stuck at last spot with one game to go, that has to be the most sad result ever in a Junior world championship.
Even if they didnt have the same stars as last year, they should always at least reach quarter finals and play a tight one for the semis like before. This is just crazy.

Do they know they're allowed to hit the Czech players? I swear I can count the number of body checks thrown by this Canadian team all tournament long on one hand.
