I enjoy how players like him and Mete are the type of guys that will succeed in the NHL now, and not just the huge physical guys.
Watching a fast league is far more enjoyable and those two are a treat to watch moving around that ice.
I'm not so sure his D' game is so underrated...
When you control the puck and efficiently use it/threaten with it as He does...
And have world class wheels to get back if "caught"....
No, not underrated just not known, unless you are a hockey fan from Alberta or specifically Brooks...
I mean Canada is icing their final roster against a team sitting 3 of the tournaments best forwards and 2 of their top defensemen. They should be outplaying them
But we aren't under performing...
And that is encouraging... we are doing what we should do against a 'Hockey Nation'...

Blues got themselves a gem in Robby Thomas. Kyrou isn’t too bad either.

Agreed but overall they're doing what they should be against the weaker team. It's not so much a positive as "not a negative".

There have been quite a few turnovers in the offensive zone where the opposition had numbers on the other side of the puck, against USA that will kill them. Particularly the Steel line.

I'm only admitting my jealousy of how good I think he can be... 200 ft player and then some...
I wish we had drafted him...

Have to give credit to Bean for a very nice snipe on his goal after I noted how terrible he has been otherwise. I will reserve comment, for now, on how he handles a forecheck or basic defensive duties. I'm really liking the skating on display by Mete and Makar. I've never been high on McLeod but in this game at least he is being utilized perfectly and is executing his job very well. Hoping to see something from Steel and Kyrou.

The Czech's all went to the "Early Bird" for breakfast this morning and all ordered the "Fat Elvis" breakfast....
That did them in...
Kyrou and Thomas are the two best forwards tonight. Really, really impressed by both.
Makar is having a really good night and living up t his draft position. His skating and puck handling ability is truly elite.
I still can’t believe Mete was a 4th round pick. Other than size, this guy has it all. Good stick, reads the game very well, elite skating and he never seem to rush the play.

Especially when its your own doing for the reason to be chasing. Czechs are weak on there sticks.
