Lol really? Dube was one of Canada's better players last year even, he's probably as close to a lock as you can get this year and rightfully so.

Was Glass that bad? Recent 6th overall pick gets cut. The only other person to go that high that was cut was Dal Colle.

He's only 18. If he was 19 and getting cut as a draft pick that high(like Dal Colle) then it'd be more of an issue. A lot of people saw him as a borderline guy(though I had him clearly on my team), and he didn't play very well so I guess played himself out of consideration.

Yet there is still not much wrong with this, yet you want to make it so, obv. one would want to play for someone who wanted them.

That is not what he said. He said that he would rather play for whichever team offers him a bigger role, not just that he wants to play for a team that wants him. Either you are being disingenuous or there is an English issue here.

He's also more Canadian than US anyway, so he obv. would rather play for Canada.

You would think that, and yet his quote (from when he thought he actually could play for either country) indicates that you are wrong. He has only claimed that playing for Canada is his "dream" once it was his only choice.

I'm not shocked by the cuts, but it isn't what I would have done. I thought Cholowski was fine and I really liked Lind in the super series. These winger selections are going to be interesting.

I'm a Flames fan so it's highly likely I focused on him more, but he's probably the best two way forward on this team and packs an offensive punch. He came on strong in the last half of last year's tournament.

Mete was bad today..no surprise as he was losing every battle in NHL and was not provinding any kind of offense...guys is out of sync right now...should be sent to minors...oh well

I think there is still an adjustment to switching competition. Give it time.

As for the rest..I have to disagree with your talent analysis. When he played he was solid for his age and didn' look out of place and that is against MUCH higher competition than anyone else on Team Canada has faced. He has had a couple rough patches but that doesn' mean he shouldn't be in this tournament since those patches happened in the best league in the world and were expected. He will thrive with more time to make decisions.

He has been Montreal' best puckmover from the backend this year.

If Harvey actually made this team, it would probably be historical for an undrafted, unsigned goalie to do so, he really didn't have a chance.

Glass was a minor shock. He hadn't played well but I thought he'd get another game to prove himself. The other 3 guys so far aren't surprises. I didn't have Lind being cut yet but I didn't have him on my team yet either. Harvey I didn't think he had any real chance at this camp to begin with. Will be interesting to see what Canada does with their backup goalie spot and whether they take Point as the 3rd goalie to lock him in for Canada which they normally don't take 3 guys.

True, we all have players we focus in on when we're fans, PLD for me last year haha, thankfully he is redeeming himself in the NHL this year so I don't look completely crazy.
