Does he? My memory isn't what it used to be, but wasn't Whitney more of a setup guy? Obviously, different time periods, different systems, but I recall Whitney being closer to how Hall has played for us. Shifty, plays bigger than you'd expect, and great vision and hockey sense to set up chances.

If we're comparing to the old crew, I'd say Stankoven is much closer to an Andrew Ladd. Isn't afraid to get in front of the net or mix it up with bigger players, but probably not going to put up the Whitney numbers

I don't see it. Whitney, at least in his later career, was a pass-first type that relied on hockey sense. Stankoven is a shooter that is just relentless. He's a Connor Garland clone.

Pretty even and if Stankoven gets to pay with the top 2 lines, especially with Nadeau I think he will be very similar to Ray.
