That may very well be, but people keep going on about how USA should have named Kessel to the team because of "karma" or so he wouldn't have his feelings hurt... Phil Kessel is a grown-ass man who just won the Stanley Cup and we're worried about his feelings??

How would a Phil Kessel who needed surgery have helped this team?

Because Phil Kessel didn't need surgery until after the team announcements? The question is why didn't the brain trust at USA hockey deem it important to have a game breaking player on their team, one that can win a game single handed at times in a short tourney? Or Bobby Ryan or Tyler Johnson. It's insane.

On the radio this afternoon they mad this comparison team Canada has Ryan Getzlaf playing the role of Dubinsky. Team USA has Dubinsky. He'll of a thing leaving 3 of your best players off the roster from the get go regardless of injuries that happened in the interim.

TSN local commentators mentioned this here in Winnipeg that Team NA would hurt the US and hardly effect Team Canada.

Crosby has been fantastic so far in this tournament.

Most of the time he plays for Canada, he doesn't get going till the end of the tournament.

Canada 29.3% Faceoffs USA 70.7%, USA 32 hits Canada 8 hits.

So Team USA is succeeding at the two least important stats in hockey.
