I think it's possible, but the focus for him should be consistency (hopefully the migraines are more manageable this year). If he put up the exact same numbers as last year but looks engaged every game, that's a massive win.

Hard to say because you can't predict injuries.
Better poll, IMO would be GT PPG or LT PPG.

I'd vote GT PPG

Marner should be at a minimum 1.25/PPG.

Slim chance, but possible. Would be easier if he got to play with Matthews instead of Tavares. Tampa had three 90+ point players in 2018-19 and Pittsburgh fell one point short of having three in 2017-18. It’s rare but not impossible for Matthews, Marner & Nylander to all hit 90.

Somewhat unlikely, but possible. Hit 80 last year, has been showing consistent year-over-year improvement the past few years, and is just 26 years old. I think it would take all 4 of the below to happen:
- Great play from Willy personally
- Healthy, plays 80+ games
- His even strength linemates, especially Tavares, to be playing really well too
- A humming PP1 that gets lots of opportunities (Leafs drawing more PPs - we have not been even top 20 in the league in PP opportunities in AGES, and stars do a lot of their scoring on the PP)

Leafs could have 4 if everyone remains healthy and it wouldn't be that big of a surprise.

Just hitting his prime and has shown he has the talent to do it. That said, not on the top line, so would be difficult. Being on a top offensive team in the NHL helps though.

He has obviously yet to even exceed the PPG mark. Of course, 90 points isn't exactly that far above said threshold. Went with 50/50 (slightly leaning towards 'no'.)

He had a pretty weak January and February last year.

23-8-10-18, a 64 point pace.

I think the skill is there and he could, but will he?

Playing with JT isn’t even in the same universe as playing with Matthews or even Mitch, and he’d do well to cut back on the stretches where he comes off a little too passive and disengaged. Granted they’re becoming less frequent but they still do happen.

But then by the same token if he cracks 90 he’s going to want 10, and could they even keep him?

Including playoffs or just regular season, lol.

Anything is possible, he just needs to be engage on a regular basis.

I'd say there's better than a 50/50 chance he hits 90pts either this season or the next.

Good health & consistency is all he needs.
