There's not a player on the Canucks I would want the lightning to trade for, we don't want your garbageSo Sherwood for Geekie and a 1st then?

The clown emoji would have came in real useful here. There's not a player on the Canucks I would want the lightning to trade for, we don't want your garbage
Would've been very helpful for the Sherwood for Geekie & a 1st comment as wellThe clown emoji would have came in real useful here.
People love to say that every year. This year the market is tilted heavily in favour of the sellers. Boeser is what he is. What other defensively responsible 30+ goal wingers are available on an expiring contract?Seems pretty steep for a rental
People also expect too much for the guys who play for the team they watch every year. Sorry but your fanbase (assuming you’re a Canucks fan) is very guilty of this.People love to say that every year. Sure. I would also be upset. I'm also in full agreement that a 1st + solid prospect would be an overpayment.People also expect too much for the guys who play for the team they watch every year. Sorry but your fanbase (assuming you’re a Canucks fan) is very guilty of this.
I guess we’ll see what he gets but I’d be pretty upset with Fitz if he gave that up for a rental.
He's scored 30+ goals once in his career. He's a good player but he has some significant warts to his game. If he was a consistent 30+ guy Vancouver wouldn't be looking to move himPeople love to say that every year. This year the market is tilted heavily in favour of the sellers. Boeser is what he is. The only reason the would move him is because he's a pending UFA. Not because he's a bad player. He's scored 30+ goals once in his career. He's a good player but he has some significant warts to his game. If he was a consistent 30+ guy Vancouver wouldn't be looking to move him
Over the past 5 seasons Boeser has averaged 27 goals a year playing an average of 71 games. I think calling him a 30 goal player is perfectly fair. The Canucks are obviously trying to change up their core, add more speed to their top 6, and don't want to pay Boeser 8+M / year on a 7+ year deal. They also don't want to lose a good player for nothing which is why they are looking to trade him. He's scored 30+ goals once in his career. Except he never plays 82 games a d he's only scored 30 once. The only reason the would move him is because he's a pending UFA. Not because he's a bad player.
Brock is a 65 point/30 goal per 82 games player. He's also trusted enough to hang on a high-leverage matchup line. That is good.
For the previous five seasons before this year, Boeser missed 4 games per season on average.Except he never plays 82 games a d he's only scored 30 once.
