It's quiet because nobody gives a flying f*** about who is first place in the preseason.
Dont overrate them, i doubt they will finish 4th or 5th in division.Preseason is preseason
I think they can come in 4th5th for the division. Can they squeeze into a wild card? Maybe.
I see
Jets
Smashville
Avalanche.
Stars
Wild
Making it
Pacific
Canucks
OILERS
Vegas
Kings
Then
Kraken v Calgary and Wild have to fight out and make a Wild card.
Maybe Utah becomes sneaky.
Edit: oilers over Flames mb
10 exhibition games beating half AHL rostersThis post is like preseason for the silly things people will say after ten games are played.
No, a great preseason dont mean you will have a good start or even get close to playoffs. No teams have played all their regulars yet in one gamePreseason hardly is an indicator, however that bit of confidence early on could help them get off to a good start which is needed if they have a chance at a playoff spot
I don't have them as a top 8 team in the conference.Dont overrate them, i doubt they will finish 4th or 5th in division.
they might not even be top 8 in their division!I don't have them as a top 8 team in the conference.
Thing is though there division.
Kraken/Flames
Ducks
Sharks
I can't see why they couldn't come 5th if they have good goaltending.
Kraken I do think beat them out and can compete with the Kings though.
I have Canuck, Oilers, Vegas, Krakens and Kings as my top 5. Flames will probably be 6th, ahead of Sharks and DucksI don't have them as a top 8 team in the conference.

I cant wait til regular season starts. I want to see JT miller play lol"quietly" leading because the pre-season is meaningless. No matter which way things get sliced and diced there is no correlation between pre-season success and regular season success. There are articles on this every single year.

With a win over Kraken, they are #1 in the standings. 6 games, 5 wins and 1 OTL. Only team that doesn't have a regulation loss so far.
A lot of guys were writing them off prior to the season. But that team still has a lot of talent and they are hungry to prove themselves. Are they going to be a playoff team again?
I mean clearly, all of these threads for years have been parodies to start.I think this is a parody thread
It wasn't too long ago that the Oilers tanked for over a decade just to have a star-filled roster and not being able to win anything with it.It wasn’t too long ago that the Flames were considered the best 5v5 team in hockey for a full regular season - all to get decimated by the Oilers in the playoffs and have both their stars running off to a different country.
Anyways…back to the preseason cup.
No but you somoehow still think preseason might be indicative that they might be any good. Just forget about preseason when regular season starts. Its completely differentI didn’t say it means they will have a good start.
