Fondly remembering when Ty Rattie led the NHL in preseason scoring
I'm going to accept the lighter side of this thread.
Let's just check in after 20 games. If CGY can surprise people, then I'm all for it.
As of now I can't even figure who their starting goalie will be this season. Vladar?
Their rosters probably better than the Habs lolI think they are arguably the worst roster in the league lol but by all means as a Habs fan please make a hard push for a wild card spot
Or they can save money and hang a yellow generic banner that reads Banner.Calgary should hang a President's Choice banner in the rafter after finishing with the most points in the preseason.
I think it's a toss up between young rookie Dustin Wolf and veteran Daniel Vladar.I'm going to accept the lighter side of this thread.

I don't know about "worst roster". There's a good chance that Mtl finishes behind Calgary.I think they are arguably the worst roster in the league lol but by all means as a Habs fan please make a hard push for a wild card spot
Ditto San Jose and probably Chicago. Calgary's going to be bad, but they're not lottery winning bad.I don't know about "worst roster". There's a good chance that Mtl finishes behind Calgary.
Just a reminder, I know it was the NFL but the year the Lions went 0-16 in the regular season they went 4-0 in the preseason. With a win over Kraken, they are #1 in the standings. 6 games, 5 wins and 1 OTL. Only team that doesn't have a regulation loss so far.
A lot of guys were writing them off prior to the season. But that team still has a lot of talent and they are hungry to prove themselves. Are they going to be a playoff team again?
80I mean there shouldn't be any surprises. This team has 80 points written all over them.
Defense is going to get blown out the first 10 or so games. Wolf is going to have some down stretches. Powerplay will go cold. Goals will be streaky. They'll look pretty good by january, get a 3 or 4 game win streak and then they'll trade 2 or 3 guys and have another month or so of re-orientation. Start bringing up all the young kids at the end of the year and have some fun losing hockey.
Set a watch to it.
Not going to be upset if they are lower but ya, that's what I'd put money on.
Yeah, while I don't see them making the playoffs, I can see them within striking distance. Hot goalie down the stretch, then maybe they sneak in. If the boys buy in they will be a royal pain to play against. It's an intriguing lineup. Can't wait to see how they do.They had 5 20-goal scorers last year, they’re probably not as bad as people are making them out to be. Zary will likely score 20+ this year. If Huberdeau can bounce back and Wolf plays to his potential they’ll surprise and be in the mix for a wildcard spot.
