I was listening to some of the interviews of the coach and the captain by Calgary media. Seems they are very excited there. Not the fans, the media. So much so that coach and captain had to calm them down a bit.

I thought it was strange. It's like they never experienced a winner before. Not the fans, the media.

No kidding! The Kings have been treating this kid like he some untouchable player who they're not allowed to touch. He's a rookie, hit him and hit him everytime he touches the puck. The media here is kind of a mixed bag. There are a few good analysts, but the a lot of the media are very closely tied in with the Flames, so they're always optimistic/excited/homerish. Not the case for all of them, but if you're hearing the radio broadcasts and whatnot, that's probably why.
