I never said that man, not once. You're claiming he's proven something when he hasn't even played one whole season yet. For those 5 guys you listed, there are 500 more midgets who couldn't hack it. Remember when Mackinnon was going to take over the league after his first year? How's that working out? And he's not even a lollipop kid.

McKinnon is 19 years old and is going to be a fine. If that is your example then get back to me next year, he is one of the most gifted players in the league and he also happens to be 6' 190

Please give me these 500 "midgets" who started their careers as successfully as Gaudreau and flamed out. Like I said, some smaller players don't hack it in the NHL, no argument from me, but they don't come in as rookies and out up 60+ points and then disappear.

Saying Gaudreau will be out of the league in five years is like saying TT will be out of the league in five years, not very likely, I think they both have a much better chance of being all-stars.

I don't know of many 5-3 playoff games, but ok. I think it was just a poor game against a good team and massive overreaction on this board.

It's funny because we all make fun of Calgary fans for saying how amazing he is based on his hat trick the last time the Flames were at Staples, but then this board does the same exact thing when he has a bad game.

He isn't a superstar, but he isn't a scrub who can't hack it against good teams either. He is a very good young rookie with a nice future in front of him, why do we have to be so yin and yang with him.

Well I prefer the Kings 4-3 win over Chicago in Game 7 if we are going to name our favorite high scoring playoff games.

I just think it's ridiculous for Scott to say he won't cut it in the playoffs because he had a terrible game against a great playoff team like the Kings when the last time he was in the building he was the best player on the ice against that same team.

However I don't think we will get to find out this year if he is up to task in the playoffs, I just don't see a playoff team with that Calgary roster. I see a big collapse coming.

Quick's style is aggressive. Price's style is not. Price is a stay at home goalie.

You would try to tell Quick to change his entire style of goal tending? At this point in his career? I think Ranford would slap you.

Quick's style of play is high risk high reward. I blame Quick for goals he's supposed to be good at stopping. Goals down low..Goals on the post. Things like that. That's his strength and those are goals he shouldn't give up. Screens and deflections are rarely blamed on any goalie, let alone Quick. Reason I don't rail on Quick is because the goalies that get scored on him, especially lately are deflections and screens or right in the top corner. Goals you can't do a whole hell of a lot about with his style.

I'd still take Quick every day over Price. Not even a thought. Hell, I'd take Lundqvist or Rinne over Price before I'd take anyone over Quick.

it`s very easy to bash a Muzzin or a Stoll you know...

but to admit that the player you fell in love with (me included) is AVERAGE isn`t easy

anyways, talking about this won`t do any good, for some reason it infuriates some people on here (every board has a few untouchable players that you just can`t criticize)

but now that i`ve answered your question despite the fact that i know i`ll be isolated from this board even more

is Dean Lombardi wrong for having said that QUick isn`t playing well this year? That statement means that it`s not all on our D... Quick is actually often the reason for his poor GAA...

I don't know how often I have to explain that Quick doesn't play the standard positioning style that you see from goalies like Price so I don't know why you keep bringing it up.

Quick hasn't had a great season, no, but on the laundry list of problems the Kings have had all season, he doesn't crack top 3. I can count the games I think he blew on one hand.

Fair enough, I guess I hold this board to a higher standard than some of the Canadian team boards where you have to read 10 garbage posts before finding good stuff.

I just don't know why so many on this board have such an issue with Gaudreau. It just seems so random to me, why do so many hate him and not hate MacKinnon and Hertl last year or Tarasenko the year before. You would think the guy was Matt Cooke or Raffi Torres.

It's due to all the Flames fans coming onto our board gloating and shoving him down our throats. They often get their posts deleted so what's left is the hatred that you see from Kings fans.
