No, what I'm saying is that this game is pretty much a playoff game with heavy hitting and he's invisible. Regular season hockey is very different than playoff hockey.
 
Toffoli's a beast. Could have been 5-2 or 5-1 with that goalie interference and dive that led to that penalty.
 
Just like the Kings to show up when its absolutely necessary.

Hell of a game. Close that gap boys. Start writing the third story that will be told about us.

And people did say he was to small for the NHL, that it wouldn't translate and people are dead wrong, you have went from saying he won't be able to play in the NHL to now saying he is going to suffer a career ending injury from a bigger defenseman. Which is exactly what happened to St. Louis, Kane, Cammalleri, Whitney, Zuccarello etc. I am not debating that some smaller players can't play in the NHL, but he clearly can, and he will put on weight, get bigger and get stronger like Kane did. You really think he is going to suddenly start sucking after 50+ very good games as a rookie, it really doesn't work that way.

I never said that man, not once. You're claiming he's proven something when he hasn't even played one whole season yet. For those 5 guys you listed, there are 500 more midgets who couldn't hack it. Remember when Mackinnon was going to take over the league after his first year? How's that working out? And he's not even a lollipop kid.

I don't know of many 5-3 playoff games, but ok. I think it was just a poor game against a good team and massive overreaction on this board.

It's funny because we all make fun of Calgary fans for saying how amazing he is based on his hat trick the last time the Flames were at Staples, but then this board does the same exact thing when he has a bad game.

He isn't a superstar, but he isn't a scrub who can't hack it against good teams either. He is a very good young rookie with a nice future in front of him, why do we have to be so yin and yang with him.

Dean said it himself...Quick is average this year...yet you guys blame everyone but Quick

there's nothing to do...i'd probably upgrade the D and force a trapping system and force Quick's stats up (cause obviously Quick won`t do that himself)

but really there`s absolutely nothing to do...i would have played Berube a game...Jones a game...because those guys won`t give me anything under .800% at this point right? The Kings can win with anyone in goal

seeing how Scrivens and Jones had inflated numbers before infront of a stellar King's D just confirms that we have to face the fact about Quick (Quick was a product of our amazing D)

and on the 2nd goal...btw...it`s all about positioning...his positioning is terrible

watch Price...then watch Quick...then go back and watch Price again

maybe you guys would stop ganging up on me, if you just understood what i meant by faulting Quick

Quick's style is aggressive. Price's style is not. Price is a stay at home goalie.

You would try to tell Quick to change his entire style of goal tending? At this point in his career? I think Ranford would slap you.

Quick's style of play is high risk high reward. I blame Quick for goals he's supposed to be good at stopping. Goals down low..Goals on the post. Things like that. That's his strength and those are goals he shouldn't give up. Screens and deflections are rarely blamed on any goalie, let alone Quick. Reason I don't rail on Quick is because the goalies that get scored on him, especially lately are deflections and screens or right in the top corner. Goals you can't do a whole hell of a lot about with his style.

I'd still take Quick every day over Price. Not even a thought. Hell, I'd take Lundqvist or Rinne over Price before I'd take anyone over Quick.
