Quinn Hughes had five points against the Sharks last season. They suck defensively.
Oh I know they do. But it just goes to show how f***ing good Hughes and Makar are. It really isn't like this happens every night and everyone can do it. So taking it away from Makar (and Hughes) is just stupid.

"Yeah...against the Sharks"

I don’t see other teams doing it to them…

Sweet stat padding. It's obviously very hard to do but it's the Sharks. Many players have feasted on them over the last handful of years. lol
Why are so many people downplaying this like it's so easy to do since it's the Sharks and almost that it's a bad thing because he padding stats? Look, it doesn't mean he's the best player in the world, it's happened with random guys before, but scoring 6pts, especially as a Dman is a pretty big deal.

And it being against SJ doesn't bother me much. If it was so easy, wouldn't there be a bunch of other guys that have done it against SJ. From what I can tell, there is no active player that has ever scored 6pts in a game against SJ other than Makar.

Nights like this show why he's the best defender in the league. His offense is above guys like Hughes and Werenski. But he dives and stops threats on the defensive end and shuts down players like McDavid in the playoffs.

I am sorry but it's not close between him and #2.
Limiting McDavid to 6 points in 4 games is shutting him down?
