He’s getting the chance to play that Boston never gave him, he’s made a damn fine impression so far. Very small sample but hope the kid keeps it up.Man I really hope Jones doesn’t fall off. He’s been a revelation to the bottom 6
For 7.75 x 8Marner not waiving for Carolina, cause he's waiting to the off-season to sign in Edmonton
Absolutely, some just look at advanced stats instead of the game. You kind of forget the mojo have some physicality can give a team.
Atleast now we have enough depth to rotate them in and out of the lineup to keep them hungry and fresh.Man I really hope Jones doesn’t fall off. He’s been a revelation to the bottom 6
Nuge don't like these games.2 pretty good periods, Nuge invisible so far.
He’s probably gonna score at this rate, or fightHe's been superb. Ekholm acquisition level.
+3, 1 assist.
Dallas and even Tampa might have the same issues. Nasty forward group but get stuck in the mud against quality teams because their d can’t consistently get the puck out.Walman’s game is a perfect example of how a puck moving top 4 defenseman transforms a team much more than a pure defensive guy like Oleksiak. Great, great addition.
Analytics are important but they dont show swagger and intimidation.Absolutely, some just look at advanced stats instead of the game.
If we are playing Jeff Skinner, we might as well trade him now and give some games to Kane before the playoffs
He can still be traded. Just can’t play in the playoffsTDL came and went
When I looked up Walman after we traded for him, I was like 6’1”. He’s not that big. Then I noticed he was 220 lbs. He’s def solid out there.Max Jones has earned his spot! This man is a great 4th liner so far.
Walman is a heavy dude that can hit! He's been solid!
McDavid hasn't played this good at all this season!
Cant wait see a healthy Frederic and Kane!
3 ft puck shove to McDavid in our slot got him an assist. He’s good for the night.2 pretty good periods, Nuge invisible so far.
Knob better not EVER tell Jones and Walman to ease off the hitting!Above everything else this is actually fun to watch isn’t it? Some games lately were so brutal, lifeless and boring.
The hits, the goals, hopefully Walman does a griddy/gritty/whatever
He can still be traded. Just can’t play in the playoffs
I think he can play, he just can’t play in the playoffs. Or did they change that rule?Zero chance he waives now cause if traded he cant play any games.
…. So I’m assuming you watched both periods and still think the same way?Calm down. He made a stellar pass and looked good but he also fell leaving a 2 on 1 that luckily didn't happen.
That said, he's a much needed player for Nurse
Just did - great play all around. Really well done by Hyman to control that puck too.Check out his beauty pass for Hyman's goal.
Whoa whoa whoa. I've really liked Walman over his career (was one of many posters who was incredibly puzzled when Detroit traded him to San Jose) but idc how good he's been, 2 periods isn't nearly enough to call anyone an Ekholm-level acquisition haha. He's been superb. Ekholm acquisition level.
+3, 1 assist.
Saw Rico out there with McDavid and it looked interesting. I want to see more. Play Nuge with the stone handed Janmark and BrownNuge don't like these games.
Think that caught nutsackTook a puck to the inside of his leg
Yep, the Oilers will be a much more physical team going into the playoffs and I think others will join in the fight when the playoff intensity ramps up. We saw some of that in the Vancouver game earlier this year when the Oilers played angry, they have it in them when they put their mind to it.We light Rantanen up like a Christmas tree every game he’s here lol.
Jones and Walman. Thank god we got a few guys that play with a pulse. If we can start playing with some consistent physicality it’s going to be a major benefit to all areas of our game.
Frederic and Kane to come. We might go from the softest touch in the league to a team not to be f***ed with fairly quickly.
