Walman’s game is a perfect example of how a puck moving top 4 defenseman transforms a team much more than a pure defensive guy like Oleksiak. Great, great addition.
Dallas and even Tampa might have the same issues. Nasty forward group but get stuck in the mud against quality teams because their d can’t consistently get the puck out.

If we are playing Jeff Skinner, we might as well trade him now and give some games to Kane before the playoffs

Max Jones has earned his spot! This man is a great 4th liner so far.

Walman is a heavy dude that can hit! He's been solid!

McDavid hasn't played this good at all this season!

Cant wait see a healthy Frederic and Kane!
When I looked up Walman after we traded for him, I was like 6’1”. He’s not that big. Then I noticed he was 220 lbs. He’s def solid out there.

On bad nights Ott is the worst goalie around. Jekyl and Hyde.

Don't think that big Rantanen contract was such a good idea. How much of a product of the AV's was this guy. Both games this week against us he's been NOTHING. Fumbling every puck, tripping over pucks, offsides. That said none of the stars feeling puck tonight.

Hey Oilers fans get your lotto tickets before its too late. Arvid and Connor Brown scored in the same game. Confounding probability. Galileo couldn't explain this.

Check out his beauty pass for Hyman's goal.
Just did - great play all around. Really well done by Hyman to control that puck too.

He's been superb. Ekholm acquisition level.

+3, 1 assist.
Whoa whoa whoa. I've really liked Walman over his career (was one of many posters who was incredibly puzzled when Detroit traded him to San Jose) but idc how good he's been, 2 periods isn't nearly enough to call anyone an Ekholm-level acquisition haha.

I do wonder where the defencemen slot in with a healthy Ekholm and Klingberg though. Klingberg likely the 7D, but which lefty plays on the right?

Edit: Wait is he playing on the right?

We light Rantanen up like a Christmas tree every game he’s here lol.

Jones and Walman. Thank god we got a few guys that play with a pulse. If we can start playing with some consistent physicality it’s going to be a major benefit to all areas of our game.

Frederic and Kane to come. We might go from the softest touch in the league to a team not to be f***ed with fairly quickly.
Yep, the Oilers will be a much more physical team going into the playoffs and I think others will join in the fight when the playoff intensity ramps up. We saw some of that in the Vancouver game earlier this year when the Oilers played angry, they have it in them when they put their mind to it.
