Look at what Nashville got for Ekholm in an identical situation. Ekholm was older and can't get you the 50 points Andersson does. It's going to be easily that. I think he'll get more. There's not another defenseman who can play top pairing RHD on the market.

I think if Calgary moves him it'll be for more than I just laid out. I said it would be a good prospect and a 1st for Lindholm last year. It ended up being a good prospect, 1st, top 6 wing, bad prospect and another pick.
I'd easily throw out an unprotected 1st, Savoie, O'Reilly and whatever else it took to get Rasmus in Edmonton.

Problem is I doubt Conroy even considers a trade with them.

Dude is an absolute stud defenseman.

Both first pairing caliber but Guhle much younger. Look at difference in control and salaries? Guhle locked up for 5 more years while Andersson will sign for 10-11 million.
Huh? I like Guhle, but he's not a top pairing defenseman. Even for Montreal who doesn't have a top pairing defenseman.

Guhle might have the potential to get there but he isn’t there yet. Andersson will not sign for over 10 million, I expect he’ll come in around 8.5. He’s significantly better than Guhle is now and if you want to argue potential than the difference is certainly not Zary

You get Andersson for 8.5 million your GM wins GM of year in landslide. He's a #1 right D in prime years
