I think he drops 80 next year
Today’s challenge, say something nice about Smith![]()
He's been paired with Granlund and they've been playing well together. Will be interesting what happens if Granlund gets traded.6 points in 5 games. Really starting to figure it out.
This will affect Smith's game in a bad way. I hope Grier can keep GranlundHe's been paired with Granlund and they've been playing well together. Will be interesting what happens if Granlund gets traded.
I wouldn't be surprised if he has a sophomore slump and only puts up 40-50, but still wouldn't be time to worry.I think he drops 80 next year
If the Sharks move him back to center and he drops 50 points, that would be a tremendous win for us IMO. That's my hope.I wouldn't be surprised if he has a sophomore slump and only puts up 40-50, but still wouldn't be time to worry.
He would have been a plus last night, too, but he got tagged with a minus on the OT goal because he went on the ice for Zetterlund who was gassed and fell into the net after missing a 2-on-1. Nothing Smith could have done to stop the goal.Have to toot Smittys horn once again (boy does that sound wrong):
After an up and down season and an especially rough stretch, something seems to have clicked since that game at TD Garden.
The Sharks are 1-8-3 in that stretch, being outscored 56 to 32 (- 24) in all situations, if someone has an easy way get the Even strength Numbers, i would appreciate that.
Despite that, Smith did not register a single game with a negative +/-.
His statline: 12 games, 3g, 8a, +8.

Sharks future in front is pretty much set with this guy, Celebrini and Eklund. Now they need to draft Ds. Maybe Mrtka or if lucky Schaefer?
Not quite yet. There's a big hole at the top at RWSharks future in front is pretty much set with this guy, Celebrini and Eklund. Now they need to draft Ds. Maybe Mrtka or if lucky Schaefer?
If they don't win the lottery, hopefully a team that is shooting for a franchise center does and leaves Schaefer there for the Sharks.
I would try to package the Stars 1st and the Sharks 2nd to get into the teens and go for Hensler.
Wingers are pretty easy to replace compared to other positions. Hardest thing to get is RHD, especially huge, good skating RHD like Mrtka who is easily best RHD available in this draft. He is like Silayev with better offensive tools, more soft skills. It should be illegal to be able to move like that, while being 6'6", once he fills out, everybody watch out.Not quite yet. I think this will be a good learning test for him, if it happens. This will affect Smith's game in a bad way. I hope Grier can keep Granlund

Besides, Smith's game has only gotten better since the Granlund trade. Yes, we miss Granlund, but Smith doesn't. He's basically a PPG since Granlund left and three of those games were played with Andrew Poturalski.I think this will be a good learning test for him, if it happens.
The Sharksvwill be better off with the Grandlund return anyways.
The hole isn’t that bad. We have Zetterlund, Graf and Chernyshov.Okay, but it's been a hole in the top 6 at RW for awhile
Not likely to land Mrtka given where our 2 1st rounders are likely to end up
