This was a fun article to get some color on Kulich and Rosen, but the thing the stuck with me is that Kulich is nuts.

I've seen it in a couple of press clippings this year, he has a crazy sense of humor and cockiness. Pasta is the same way and it apparently turned some teams off on him in the pre-draft process. Wonder if something similar happened to Kulich. Jagr had it too - hilarious eccentric Czechs.

Kulich and Rosen were on the ice together for the first time in July at the Buffalo Sabres’ development camp, yet only the former recalls – or at least claims to – what took place that week and makes a habit of bringing it up to Rosen all these months later.

“He always tells me that he thought I was (terrible),” Rosen shared, laughing off the playful jab.
Kulich, who turned 19 in April, produced seven goals – two fewer than Connor Bedard, who led the tournament – and Rosen was tied for second on Sweden with six points in seven games. The two met in the semifinal, where Kulich scored the game-winner to send Czechia to the gold-medal game, where it lost to Canada. Rosen earned a prime scoring opportunity in the loss to his teammate and friend but couldn’t convert. Don’t worry, Kulich won’t let him forget about it.
“He had a really good move that was a really good highlight, but his shot was terrible,” Kulich said, laughing like a hyena outside the Amerks’ dressing room. "I've told him."

Who's the dominant 2023-2024 Roch pair? Neuchev-Kisakov? Kozak-Nadeau?
Honestly, it's probably Kulich-Rosen. The intentional logjam is forming to give guys the extra year to round out their games, where they might be rushed in another org or past Sabres regimes.
The two pairs you mentioned will be fun to watch too. As will Novikov-Komarov the following year.

That is all fine, but to say Savoie profiles as a roster player is a pretty massive disservice to his elite top line potential.

I actually wasn't disassociating his potential. I just meant that they were every roster players. lol Yes, Savoie has the highest ceiling of the three. I think Kulich probably has the highest floor.

"Me and Rosie, thank God he's here. I want to be better than him, he wants to be better than me." Speaks glowingly about his friendship.

The cheese sauce makes another appearance.

Doesn't know if he's coming back for dev camp. I'm kind of thinking the Chicago all off-ice stuff might not be the worst thing - they need so many guys who played late in the year to get stronger and build mass.

He doesn't have his license yet, doesn't know about a car for next year yet.

I have loved the Kulich pick since day one, especially because I think he has the will, the attitude, the drive,.....and the CHIN to be a very good two way middle six NHL player.

His year was better than I expected on the offensive side, but maybe less than I expected defensively. He clearly has developed an NHL level shot, that could become elite. That said, he has plenty of other parts of his game that are not NHL ready. Throw him back and let him grow another year.

He is going to be a great Sabre in a few years.

The armchair GM in me allows my emotions to creep in when making trades. I can't bring myself to trading one of either Kulich or Rosen because they are such good friends.
