He's a prospect untill Ducks release him. Not sure about 27 year old rule, though.

Was really exciting prospect at one point but certainly just not enough consistency and drive in his game when things don't go well for him. This will probably end up being the best season of his career.

His chances of making the NHL roster are tiny, and naturally, he doesn't want to play on an ELC in the AHL for 10x less money, so I don't think that's going to happen. Probably the only way he comes over is when he is eligible for the UFA contract—if he is still relevant by then, of course.
