Hearing a Hawks fan say this makes me giddy about the future of the Ducksthe goals at 2:42/3:10 and the assist at 3:27 are pat kane esque...he's more pat kane than anybody imo, feels like watching the same player
USA scored 36 goals and Z had 18 points. He was on the ice on several others where he did not earn a point.
Next best on team USA have 8 points.
No he signed pro contract and left BU last season.so hes commited to Boston U this season? why wouldnt Anaheim want in the lineup?
He had 6 pp points. Take those away and he is still decently ahead of everyone else.He feasted on the PP (did well 5 on 5 as well) while Turcotte and others were just as good even strength.

LMAOSuper impressed with this guy. I see a better version of Pettersson in his future.
Sorry if I hurt your feelings Petterssonic but it is what it is. Don't feel bad, it's a compliment to a kid who has tons of promise. Pettersson is still a great player hence the comparison.LMAO
I honestly feel like us Ducks fans should stop being this defensive. Whether it's with Zegras or Drysdale, there has been so much time spent arguing/worrying whether this/that opinion/comaparision was made by Ducks fans or others, as if it mattered and there was such a thing as a meaningful collective reputation of fanbases on here. It just doesn't matter. Zegras is an incredibly talented kid, and if any person feels like he's gonna be better than X, that's cool, and if a guy with X in his username gets upset over that opinion, that's kind of hilarious and nothing Ducks fans need to worry about. Please take note that he is not a Ducks fan.

Idk if absurd is the right word, cause I do think it’s possible for zegras to become a top young player in the league over the next few seasons, but it’s also possible for him to become just an okay player too. There 100% is a reputation of fanbases on here. IDK how you can think differently. I'm not going to argue about it though.
I think it is absurd to say say Zegras is going to be a better version of one of the best young players in the game.

No doubt he has the skill to become a top player in the league and honestly I think he has the correct attitude/swagger. But we’ll have to wait and see what he becomes. I’m not really a fan of calling people the next blank or better then blank cause so much can happen during development.... I just enjoy the ride and hope he can meet some of these expectations
He feasted on the PP (did well 5 on 5 as well) while Turcotte and others were just as good even strength.
The people that were just as good as him even strength (still a little behind), were literally he line mates.... zegras played well in 5v 5 and on the power play. Turcotte played well, but let’s not act like his 5v 5 stats wernt helped by playing with zegras as much as zegras were helped by him making space and winning puck battles. Only player near zegras at even strength that didn’t really benefit off zegras was farinacciHe feasted on the PP (did well 5 on 5 as well) while Turcotte and others were just as good even strength.
You just bounce thread to thread bringing down Zegras. We get it you are a Kings fan. I can admit Byfield is a beast. Its ok. What did WildWing do to hurt your feelings little buddy.
I used the qualifier "meaningful". Maybe it exists in many user's heads, but it's completely pointless. But I'm also fine not arguing it.There 100% is a reputation of fanbases on here. IDK how you can think differently. I'm not going to argue about it though.
And the latter is entirely cool, but - let's be honest here - it's also a very milquetoast statement that borders on even holding an opinion. He has been a top-10 pick, regarded as one of the best prospects ever since and just put up a remarkable performance. There's zero doubt he has outstanding potential. It wouldn't be shocking to see one of the best forward prospects become one of the best young players, even if we can all acknowledge the obvious risk of projection that exists with all prospects (and young players even after entering the league). Where people believe he more or less exactly ends up is where it actually becomes interesting at this point. I get it, we haven't seen this happen with a Ducks forward prospect in forever, and I can generally understand the approach to lower expectations in order to not get disappointed, but there's at the very least no need to preemptively distance us as fanbase from people that actually have a strong positive opinion about one of our prospects for a change.Saying it is possible is different then saying he will.
I think he has the potential to be that good, but I would never bet on it.
He played center last year and put up similar numbers?Nothing against Zegras at all. In fact he was who I wanted the Kings to draft. Just pointing out that Turcotte isn’t getting as much respect as he should. I highly doubt Zegras would of put up those numbers as a center because he would of had to play a different role. Credit to the coach for playing his players to their strengths.

And he would have likely centered boldy and caufield or something along those lines he woulda been fine
