Hell of a game from Stutzle! Nice to sen him get on the board when it matters (not that he’s had any real opportunity to do so on this team so far). He is quickly rounding out his game - far more quickly than I anticipated. I’m too young to really remember the early years, but he’s up there with Karlsson and Havlat as the most exciting young players I’ve seen in Ottawa. He’s younger than both were and, as a rookie, he’s better so far, too. I’d watch every night anyways, but he makes it a pleasure to do so.

You’re wrong, he just forgot the commas.

Also, please never chirp someone in the basis of their grammar on a message board unless the mistake makes their point indiscernible. Makes you seem sort of petty and annoying. Just a tip! There are people far more intelligent than you who don’t spell well.
I’ll chirp all I want. Mind your business.

Agreed. But like I said, different strengths and weaknesses. Stützle is stronger and more physical but Marner is an elite penalty killer which I don’t see in Stützle. Both have high end work ethics.

Stuetzle is almost assuredly going to play the PK when hes a little more mature.

Hes smart and great at anticipating the play, physical and willing to battle for every inch, willing to block shots.

Not sure why you'd say that you cant see it in him - his tool box, skating and mad compete level would suggest that hes going to be a beast on the PK -if that's what he wants it. Hes not a one way floater in any regard at all.

And from what we know of Tim, he would play 30mins a night if they would let him. So hes going to play and excel at the PK if that's how he gets on the ice more, eventually.

Yeah while Marner is a pretty special PKer I think Stutzle can be a very good one as well.

I see what you did there... :)

We will see! Wouldn’t rule it out at all. Depends a lot on how the coaching staff wants to utilize him and how his defensive game develops.

Yeah I can see the coaching staff and the dearth of bottom 6 players on the Sens holding Timmy back from the PK. At least in the early going of his career anyways.

Selke winning defensive beast Pavel Datsyuk never actually played a starting role on the PK during his prime years. And it certainly wasnt because he wouldn't be great there. It was just more efficient to use role players and have Datsyuk 20+ mins of ES and PP minutes each night.

We will see how it plays out for Tim, but have no doubt he would be a great player on the PK if that's what we needed him to do for us.

Man, Stützle and Arthur Kaliyev might be my two new favorite players in the league.

looking forward to seeing him live thursday, haven't caught too many sens games this year but will be interesting to see how he looks against our Defense and Price

So, how did you like him ? Not trying to tease, btw, genuinely interested.

From the Sens board:

I don’t know what’s more impressive, the fact that he’s below the goal line as a winger to help with the breakout, the reception and smoothness of him taking the pass from backhand to forehand, or the move itself.

And what leads you to say something like that? Better yet let me ask you how much PK time Marner got in his rookie year, let alone the first 8 games of his career?

Myeah thought so... Stutzle will be just fine and has all the tools to be an excellent PKer.

Loved and hated him, reminded me of Suzuki last year in the bubble where you could just see him on the ice every time he stepped on, (loved as a hockey fan, hated as a hab fan). Will say his game strikes me as one that NHL Coaches will catch up too lots of long stretch passes and open space, I wouldn't be surprised if he takes a step back next year as teams start game planning for him more but think he's got all the makings of a first line star player for sure. Will be reminiscent of alfredson in Ottawa again for the next decade

Yup. A chat forum too. I talked about Stutzle. Stop crying.

You waste all your breath on Laf everywhere. See a Dr, your obsession is troublesome.

This Stutz guy is special. No idea his ceiling but its likely gonna be pretty high. He has all the tools and drive to be a real impact player in this league for a real long time.
