I’ve always struggled to understand how the Junior agreements are even legal. At the end of the day we are talking about not being allowed to take a paying job because you are indentured to a commitment that pays nothing. How in the world could that ever hold up in court? Sorry the leagues have decided you aren’t allowed to take a paying gig. Go work and risk your health for free.

Businesses deciding for you that you aren’t allowed to have a better job is the shadiest shit I’ve ever seen. When you’re qualified to make money as a pro…no one should be allowed to force you back to doing it for less. As soon as the Amerks say he’s earned a job…that should be the end of it.

Contracts are a real thing as well. Players are pigeon holed into them going the CHL route but nonetheless.

Yes I believe by today he will be up, at latest early tomorrow.

Not sure what to expect but he was a PPG in the AHL. Personally I think they're going to be running him with Cozens as our top 6 looked good the other night. I wouldn't expect a ton from him but the spot Benson had was expected to go to him until he got hurt. If he sticks around, maybe a statline like Peterka had last year?

I'll let others like @Chainshot or @Ace who have viewed him a lot more than me get in depth on his best assets and comps.

Yeah, though I expect part of it is roster related with people coming off IR. Teams frequently move low hanging fruit rather than waiving guys for assignment when it comes time to bring someone back to the active roster.

he should have still done a few games in the nhl before being sent down. He did what 4 shifts?

he could have gotten medically cleared and sent down direct to juniors and not go to Rochester.
