Remeber watching Gerbe somehow throwing his weight around like he was way bigger? Short with a bulky build is incredibly effective.
Love Nathan Gerbe, cause how could you not. However, I still would not build a team with him in my lineup, due to his size and what is limits.

I am hoping Savoie can grow into something like Derek Roy. Roy was 5'8" but 187 lbs. He was built thicker like a bigger man, with some shorter bones.

I don't think anyone will be unhappy with that.

Well there goes Chilliwack as the rumored destination.
Do you think the Ice moving to become the Wenatchee Wild has an impact on where Savoie plays next year? They should still be a competitive team with Benson and him, no? Any chance he gets traded? Or does this increase the pressure on the covid waiver route to get him to Roch?

I can't see Adams embracing the same path for Savoie. I don't know why Lance keeps pushing the idea as a likely option.

Yes, that would be weird, not sure if that's effective. If he's ready, he'll earn his place at Buffalo in camp and preseason games, if not, he could easily return to WHL.

If Savoie doesn't make the Sabres - and Benson likely doesn't make whoever selects him - that team will be very good though not as good as this season. They should be in the mix in the western conference of the WHL. I'm disappointed by the outcome of the arena thing and ownership in Winnipeg, but that's on the old owners.

Who would yall realistically see him pushing out of the lineup other than VO who's obviously getting dealt. We have a huge log jam at forward. Either way I hope he does come in and earn a spot.

Vic is primary guy who goes. Vinnie seems highly unlikely to be back - I can even see him going to Europe if the Hawks don't come calling for a third time - and they should be drawing Okposo's minutes down.

Well, we don't have enough forwards now, we don't know if Zemgus and Jost will return. Maybe Krebs will play with Okposo, then Savoie or Kulich could play with Mitts and maybe Greenway.

Don't have enough? your reply + our depth chart + the plethora of soon to be ready forwards in rochester and etc says different.

But anyways. I know KA will make it work over time. It's a good position to be in, regards to trading someone packaged possibly for help in net or on the blueline & olderish guys coming off contracts

Well, I mean next season, there will be at least one place for Savoie or Kulich in the top 9.

Hinostroza is as good as gone. I'll be sort of surprised if Girgensons leaves but it seems to be a decent possibility. I'm just not sure who replaces him, but maybe the front office sees a rotation of Rousek, Murray, Cederqvist, or Kulich as a good way to break them into the NHL playing with Krebs and Captain Okposo. The same guys could possibly play up in Olofsson's place, but I hope Savoie can be that guy (I won't expect it though). I suspect they only carry 8 FWs one way or the other, since so many options will be waivers exempt and can come/go to Rochester freely.

Clague will be gone, or back to Rochester. Bryson only stays if they carry 8 D-men, but I prefer a better add for depth that sends him packing in a trade. He may not survive waivers at the end of camp.

Goalie? Throw a dart.

Skinner-Thompson-Tuch
Mittelstadt-Cozens-Quinn
Peterka-Krebs-Savoie
Greenway-???-Okposo

I don't think he needs to push anyone out of the lineup. And I still think he ultimately makes it over Kulich.

Shoulda got one game in
I think the team has room for at best 2 forward spots, barring any trades. I don’t see them going crazy on the free agent market. The only open spot I see is on the 3rd line.

Skinner - Tage - Tuch
Quinn - Cozens - Peterka
??/ Greenway - Mitts - Greenway/??
Krebs/?? - ??/Krebs - Okposo
??

Girgensons might be re-signed, may not, but he’ll be the 4th line LW if he comes back. The third line will get a new replacement whether that’s on the wing or as a C, or even Krebs. The extra forward will be a new person, but probably someone we won’t like unless it’s a 4C. Regardless the new person will be on the bottom 2 lines and/or the extra forward. Out of the three question marks listed, I think Savoie fills one of them on the 3rd line.

Good point. We have 10 forwards with a solid grip on a role. The last two spots are occupied by olofsson and girgensons. And I could see girls coming back, only leaving one spot open

I admit, it may be the cider from the local brewery that had me wondering at the possibility of Greenway being so buff that he's both wingers.

He is a large human. But I just think he’s gonna be paired with Mitts, and whomever is brought in will be on whatever side they’re signed for. They’ll replace Victor, but as a LW or RW remains to be seen.

What are we expecting from an almost solidified middle 6? 100 goals? 60/40. Stronger D play from young guys
