I fistpumped so hard when I heard the words "from the Winnipeg Ice...", it honestly didn't even occur to me that I could be setting myself up for the big Geekie hurt. Thrilled to have this kid in our mix, I might just attend Dev Camp this year.

I love him. I think he’s the second most naturally talented forward in this draft. I want high compete, intelligence, skating and skill in that order. He has great all of them. the ability to think and make plays at a high pace is the modern league….and he’s second only to Cooley in this draft for me at that. I saw an interview with him this morning where he said his longest interview was with us and he thought it went well and I really didn’t want to get my hopes up…but we got him and I couldn’t be happier.
