Players can drop for many different reasons but his ability to play very cool under pressure, in traffic, is a quality that’s hard to teach. It’s why so many skilled players bust. They just won’t do it.

He also has that Val Filppula quality as a youngster. Some players play up and down to the level of talent they’re playing against. Stenberg does that. That’s why people are really excited since the 18s. He didn’t play down. He played the way his talent says he should play. Knowing he also plays up, will only help him in the draft.

I still can’t see him get past 17. I guess his lateral quickness could be a concern, but we shall see.

I like this move. He is obviously a very good prospect, but wasn’t having all that much success in the SHL. I think he’ll get more opportunity in Springfield and there are some other young European players on the team already so he won’t feel out of place.
