Sounds like he's heading back to Djurgarden and playing in the Allsvenskan.

With Öhgren, & Lekkerimäki going to WJCs, Östlund has practiced on a line with Krüger, & Daniel Brodin, with Djurgården's coach saying they're spreading out the lines right now considering the former two are away.
He also says no lineup decisions have been made, but that the junior trio's line is "very, very good together." They won't make any decisions line-wise, will let the lines come to them, but that of course they've had an idea when they've signed who they've signed.
Calls Östlund an incredibly smart player, says he could play as a dman. And everything.
Says the trio will have big roles, as they're that skilled.
Swedish posters seem to agree that Ostlund is a no brainer and should have already been invitedFrom the main board

Nah its named after almond flavored tunaYet another town named after the great Jets wr Al Toon.
If anything, I was mostly ironic at myself, since I myself said that #16 was probably too early for him. This guy is a diamond, did anyone else doubt this choice?
No he most likely won't.Experts are bitter he's not in the jwc. The excuse from the coach is ultra dumb as well: "it will be too much pressure for him his last jwc year if he's in now"
Like... Östlund can obviously handle pressure (u18). And he won't play the final jwc since he'll be in the AHL/NHL.
He could easily be over ppg in the HA, after that it will be better for him to learn how to apply his skills in AHL rather than the SHL.No he most likely won't.

I think he'll develop quickly.
I think we should absolutely slow cook him. Leave him overseas for another year or two, then the AHL. He needs some time to grow and fill out before he'll be ready for the NHL. He gets pushed around too much by his peers right now to even consider moving up. I think he'll be a good one but he's a lnger term project IMO.He could easily be over ppg in the HA, after that it will be better for him to learn how to apply his skills in AHL rather than the SHL.
