His 2nd NHL game was even better than the first!

2nd NHL goal is a shorthanded one-timer off of a set faceoff play orchestrated by Giroux (Frost said Giroux placed him there prior to the draw)

1st NHL assist displayed his patience, vision, and deft touch

I didn't comment based on what I didn't know. I only stated that I heard his reputation with Vancouver wasn't very good. I didn't watch that many games to make a determination myself. You shouldn't comment based on what you don't know, unless you extensively watched the Rangers until Vigneault.

He forced a trade of Miller, misused Hayes. They developed in spite of him mostly due to the fact that they eventually were given minutes, despite the clear friction there between player and coach. I'm also glad to know that Buchnevich and DeAngelo, two players who've developed into top half/third of the league players under Quinn are "no one else."

If he misused Hayes so bad, why did he agree to come to Philly to play under AV?

lol at the all-time leader thing. The kid will be good though. He seems to have great chemistry with Giroux already, that could do wonders for his development.

You are trying to misrepresent what I said. It is a fact that in season 2 of his career Hayes was publicly called out by Vigneault. He didn’t call out any player publicly in his tenure the way he called out Hayes, and it wasn’t all that close. He refused to answer 99% of media questions. Calling out Hayes was one of a few exceptions. He also scratched him later in that season for a playoff game to give a spot to Vigneault’s friend that isn’t an NHL caliber player. You can’t tell me that there wasn’t friction there between player and coach.

I didn’t say that they didn’t repair their relationship later on. It probably doesn’t hurt when you offer the player an amount of money that no other team in the league was going to approach. And quite frankly, Hayes best hockey was his half season under Quinn, not anything under Vigneault, who has coached him all but 1 season of his career.

If they are gonna go goals per game. Newsy Lalonde has 125 goals in 99 games and Joe Malone has 143 goals in 126 games. You also have a lot of 1 goal per game guys like Sieloff with 2 in 2 and 4 other random players with 1 game and 1 goal.

Getting back to Morgan Frost... remember when taking him ahead of Tolvanen sent certain people off the deep end?

Hextall's Moves

You're kidding on Frost right? Tolvenen had some of the best pure hands in the entire draft and is putting the KHL through the shredder - on par with, or eclipsing what Tarasenko, Kucherov, Kuznetsov did at the same point. He's breaking games open himself.

Frost is a gem, and Giroux has finally.....found his Yang. Those two could have attached brains, just watch what they do together. I can only imagine how crazy the depth would be if Nolan Patrick was healthy....

They got themselves a Cup. Hopefully we get 1 in the Frost/Farabee era. Time will tell.
:thumbu:

I was about to say...I really don’t think St Louis is wringing their hands at all after Schenn helped them collect their first Stanley Cup and is almost PPG this season, as they remain strong contenders while O’Rielly, Pietrangelo, Parayko and co. are all in their primes.

It’s the kind of trade that can work out excellently for both sides.
